JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik Hukum dan Keamanan, Mahfud MD mengatakan bahwa Presiden Joko Widodo punya komitmen kuat dalam pemberantasan korupsi.
“Presiden mengatakan kita sudah berusaha sungguh-sungguh, tapi coba ke depannya ini pemberantasan korupsi lebih hadir, lebih kuat. Caranya apa? Korupsi-korupsi besar itu diungkap,” ujar Mahfud di kantornya, Senin (11/11/2019).
Bahkan kata Mahfud, Presiden Jokowi pernah melaporkan kasus besar ke KPK. Tapi sampai saat ini tidak pernah diproses oleh KPK.
“Presiden menyebut beberapa kasus yang luar biasa saya ngelaporin sendiri kata presiden atau kami sudah melaporkan kasus ini. Tapi kasus ini ndak disentuh sampai sekarang itu. Itu (diceritakan Presiden Jokowi) waktu ketemu saya,” kata Mahfud yang tak menyebut lebih detail kasus yang dimaksud.
Dia berharap KPK memproses sejumlah kasus korupsi besar ke depan. Sehingga pemberantasan korupsi lebih terasa.
Mahfud mengatakan Jokowi juga ingin agar kejaksaan dan kepolisian turut diperkuat. Sehingga ketiga lembaga penegak hukum itu dapat bersinergi dalam pemberantasan rasuah.
“Coba sekarang diperkuat itu kejaksaan kepolisian sehingga kita normal kembali, KPK terus kita perkuat kata Presiden cuma versi memperkuat itu yang berbeda pada tataran taktis,” tutup Mahfud.
