Kali ini dukungan juga datang dari Relawan Perjuangan Jadi-Jaya terhadap Wakil Ketua DPC PDI Perjuangan Cirebon Bidang Perempuan dan Anak tersebut.
Relawan Perjuangan Jadi Jaya merupakan relawan pemenangan pasangan calon bupati dan wakil bupati Cirebon Sunjaya Purwadisastra dan Imron Rosyadi dalam Pilbup Kabupaten Cirebon 2018 lalu.
Saat ini Bupati Cirebon dijabat Imron Rosyadi, usai Sunjaya diberhentikan akibat kasus dugaan korupsi yang sedang ditangani Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK), sehingga posisi Wakil Bupati sedang kosong.
Ketua Tim Relawan, Agus Muslichun mengatakan bahwa perempuan yang biasa disapa Ayu itu dinilai layak dan tepat untuk menjadi Wakil Bupati Cirebon.
Menurut dia, Ayu dianggap memiliki kapasitas dan kompetensi menjadi orang dua di Cirebon. Apalagi kata dia, Ayu merupakan mantan Ketua PKK dan Ketua KONI Cirebon.
“Ayu juga kader perempuan PDIP yang selama ini berjuang membesarkan partai melalui tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diamanahkan kepada beliau,” kata dia, Minggu, (22/12/2019).
Apalagi kata dia, saat ini sudah memasuki pergantian tahun anggaran, sehingga pengisian jabatan Wakil Bupati Cirebon mesti dilakukan dengan cepat, agar semua program pembangunan tidak tersendat.
Disinggung soal kasus yang menjerat Sunjaya, Agus menegaskan bahwa hal itu tidak ada hubungannya dengan Ayu. Terlebih Ayu tidak pernah dipanggil KPK untuk dimintai keterangan sebagai saksi.
“Itu juga menjadi salah satu alasan kami mendorong agar Ayu menjadi Wabup Cirebon. Artinya, jangan digeneralisir bahwa seolah-olah Ayu juga terlibat dalam kasus yang menjerat suaminya. Yang harus dicermati adalah kontribusi Ayu selama ini dalam ikut serta membangun Kabupaten Cirebon,” tandas dia.
