JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perubahan Rakyat (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono mengatakan bahwa salah satu penyebab banjir yang melanda DKI Jakarta karena tidak selesainya normalisasi Kali Ciliwung.
Menurut Basuki, dari target 33 kilometer (Km), yang berhasil dinormalisasi baru 16 Km. Ia mengaku kecewa dengan kinerja Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta yang tidak kunjung menyelesaikan pekerjaan tersebut.
“Mohon maaf Bapak Gubernur, selama dalam penyusuran Kali Ciliwung, nyata. Kali Ciliwung yang sepanjang 33 Km, yang sudah ditangani normalisasi 16 Km,” katanya.
Menurutnya, selain normalisasi Kali Ciliwung, hal lain yang bisa dilakukan Pemprov DKI Jakarta yakni normalisasi Kali Pesanggrahan. Kemudian, membuat sodetan Sungai Ciliwung ke Banjir Kanal Timur (BKT).
Namun demikian, Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan mengaku tidak sependapat dengan pernyataan Basuki.
Ia menegaskan, perbaikan di sektor hulu menjadi kunci untuk mencegah Ibu Kota agar digenangi banjir saat sudah masuk musim hujan.
“Selama air dibiarkan dari selatan masuk ke Jakarta dan tidak ada pengendalian dari selatan, maka apa pun yang kita lakukan di pesisir termasuk di Jakarta tidak akan bisa mengendalikan airnya,” kata Anies.
“Kita bersyukur bahwa sekarang Kementerian PUPR sedang menyelesaikan dua bendungan. Dan kalau dua bendungan itu selesai, maka volume air yang masuk ke pesisir bisa dikendalikan,” pungkasnya.
