Februari – Maret 2020, Pelindo IV Datangkan 27 Head Truck dan 8 Reach Stacker

Makasar, BERITATERKINI.CO.ID –Manajemen PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) akan mendatangkan 27 unit head truck 6 x 4 dan chasis serta delapan unit reach stacker untuk ditempatkan di beberapa pelabuhan kelolaan, (24/1/2020).

Direktur Utama PT Pelindo IV, Farid Padang mengatakan hingga Juni 2020 nanti Perseroan memang akan mendatangkan sejumlah alat. “Alat-alat tersebut akan ditempatkan di beberapa pelabuhan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas bongkar muat,” jelasnya.

Dia menuturkan pelabuhan cabang yang akan mendapatkan tambahan alat reach stacker pada Februari nanti yaitu Pelabuhan Parepare, Nunukan, Merauke, Manokwari, Tolitoli, Tarakan, Ternate dan Pelabuhan Sorong.

Sedangkan pelabuhan cabang yang mendapat tambahan head truck 6 x 4 dan chasis, masing masing Terminal Petikemas Makassar (TPM) 14 unit, Pelabuhan Ternate 4 unit, Kendari 4 unit, Jayapura 3 unit dan Pelabuhan Bitung 2 unit.

“Untuk head truck 6 x 4 dan chasis akan tiba pada Maret 2020,” ucap Farid.

Dirut Pelindo IV menegaskan, kedatangan alat tersebut untuk menunjang aktivitas bongkar muat barang di sejumlah pelabuhan, seiring rencana Perseroan yang akan melakukan peningkatan status beberapa pelabuhan dari hanya pelabuhan penumpang menjadi terminal petikemas atau pelabuhan multipurpose.

Tahun ini lanjutnya, ada enam pelabuhan yang akan ditingkatkan statusnya dari hanya pelabuhan penumpang menjadi terminal petikemas atau pelabuhan multipurpose yakni Pelabuhan Sorong, Tarakan, Ternate, Kendari, Manokwari dan Pelabuhan Merauke.

Sebenarnya menurut Farid, ada 9 pelabuhan yang ditingkatkan statusnya dari hanya pelabuhan penumpang menjadi terminal petikemas atau pelabuhan multipurpose.

“Namun yang tiga pelabuhan lainnya sudah selesai, yakni Pelabuhan Ambon, Pantoloan dan Pelabuhan Jayapura. Tinggal enam pelabuhan lagi yang ditarget selesai dalam tahun ini,” tukasnya.
