JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Presiden Joko Widodo mengaku akan memaksa para Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) yang tidak mau dipindahkan ke ibu kota baru di Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim).
Awalnya Jokowi berbicara tentang data sensus lama yang menunjukkan jumlah penduduk Indonesia mencapai 267 juta jiwa. Dari angka itu 56% berada di pulau Jawa.
“56%, data yang saya miliki. Artinya kurang lebih 149 juta ada di Jawa. Sehingga daya dukung Jawa ini sebetulnya sudah nggak mampu. Oleh karena itu, karena magnetnya ada di sini, di Jakarta. Nah magnetnya digeser ke ibu kota yang baru. Agar ada magnet lagi untuk pemerataan penduduk,” ujarnya dalam acara Pencanangan Pelaksanaan Sensus Penduduk 2020 di Istana Negara, Jakarta, kemarin.
Tak hanya penduduk, lanjut Jokowi, perekonomian Indonesia juga hanya terpusat di pulau Jawa. Sebesar 58% PBD Indonesia ada di pulau Jawa. Oleh karena itu pemerintah sangat mendorong pemindahan ibu kota untuk menciptakan magnet ekonomi yang baru. PNS selaku pekerja pemerintahan juga didorong untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam penciptaan pemerataan tersebut. Jokowi menegaskan siap untuk memaksa mereka pindah ke ibu kota yang baru.
“Pulau Jawa ini kan salah satu dari 17.000 pulau yang kita miliki, masa semuanya pengin di sini semua. Tapi saya juga nggak tahu apakah nanti pindah pada mau, kalau saya sih saya paksa,” tegasnya.
Setelah menegaskan akan memaksa pindah ke IKN baru, Jokowi memamerkan rencana pembangunannya melalui video. Dia sangat yakin IKN yang baru akan bebas banjir dan macet.
Beberapa hal yang dipamerkan Jokowi adalah konsep ibu kota yang menggunakan energi baru terbarukan, transportasi massal menggunakan kendaraan listrik dan yang paling dia tekankan adalah bebas macet dan bebas banjir.
