JAKARTA, BERITATERKINI.CO.ID |Presiden Jokowi saat berbicara pada forum KTT Luar Biasa G20 secara virtual dari Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Kamis (26/3) malam.
Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengajak para pemimpin negara G20 untuk bersama-sama memenangkan dua “peperangan” yaitu melawan Virus Korona (Covid-19) dan pelemahan ekonomi dunia.
Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Presiden Jokowi saat berbicara pada forum KTT Luar Biasa G20 secara virtual dari Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Kamis (26/3) malam.
“Pertama, kita harus kuatkan kerja sama melawan Covid-19,” kata Presiden di depan para pemimpin G20. Menurut Presiden, G20 harus memotori gerakan solidaritas dunia dalam penanganan Covid-19 dan mendorong agar pandemi ini jangan sampai menganggu kemitraan dan kerja sama yang sudah dibangun bertahun-tahun.
“Untuk itu, G20 harus aktif memimpin upaya menemukan anti-virus dan obat Covid-19, tentunya bersama WHO,” ucap Presiden.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Presiden Jokowi juga mendorong negara anggota G20 untuk bekerja sama dan mensinkronkan kebijakan dan instrumen ekonomi untuk melawan keterpurukan ekonomi sebagai dampak dari Covid-19.
“Kita harus mencegah resesi ekonomi global, melalui kebijakan fiskal dan moneter yang terkoordinasi, serta memperluas dan memperkuat jaring pengaman sosial terutama bagi UMKM,” ujar Presiden.
Lebih lanjut, Presiden juga mendorong G20 untuk menjaga stabilitas sektor keuangan, termasuk menjaga ketersediaan likuiditas dan memberikan relaksasi dan dukungan bagi dunia usaha yang terpukul akibat Covid-19.
“Dengan gejolak keuangan global yang tinggi, dukungan foreign exchange sangat penting. Saya juga mendukung peningkatan peran global dan regional financial safety net termasuk melalui SDR swap line dan currency swap facility, seperti Chiang Mai Initiative,” kata Presiden.
Selain itu, Presiden juga menyampaikan pentingnya bagi negara anggota G20 untuk mencegah disrupsi produksi dan menjaga kelancaran distribusi barang.
“Utamanya bahan pangan pokok dan barang kesehatan,” ucap Presiden Jokowi.
Di akhir pernyataannya, Presiden Jokowi juga menekankan perlunya anggota negara G20 untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan dunia mampu memenangkan “perang” dan melewati krisis ini. /beritaterkini.
