MEDAN – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Pelaksana tugas (Plt) Wali Kota Medan Ir H Akhyar Nasution MSi menetapkan Status Tanggap Darurat Bencana Wabah penyakit Akibat Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) di Kota Medan. Status ini akan berlaku sampai 29 Mei 2020. Sebelumnya, Kota Medan menyandang Status Siaga Darurat Pencana Non Alam Covid-19.
Perubahan status ini dituangkan dalam Surat Keputusan Wali Kota Medan No.188.44/47.K/III/2020 tanggal 31 Maret 2020 tentang Status Tanggap Darurat Bencana Wabah penyakit Akibat Covid-19 di Kota Medan. Perubahan status ini dilakukan sehubungan eskalasi orang terjangkit serta percepatan penanganannya yang membutuhkan cepat, tepat, fokus, terpadu dan sinergitas.
Diungkapkan Akhyar, hasil diskusi dengan Kadis Kesehatan Kota Medan bersama organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD) terkait di lingkungan pemko Medan, bahwa hasil analisis lapangan menunjukkan eskalasi kejadian peningkatan Covid-19 begitu cepat sekali, termasuk angka kematian yang cukup tinggi dari penderita positif Covid-19.
“Disamping itu mobilitas penduduk yang masih banyak di luar rumah tentunya sangat berisiko untuk penularan Covid-19. Oleh karenanya perubahan status ini dilakukan untuk mendukung penanganan yang dilakukan, sekaligus mencegah semakin banyaknya warga yang tertular Covid-19 di Kota Medan,” kata Akhyar di Medan, Rabu (1/4/2020).
Selain itu tambah Akhyar lagi, perubahan status ini juga mempertimbangkan Surat keputusan Gubsu No.188.44/1754/KPTS/2020 tentang Status Tanggap Darurat Bencana Wabah Penyakit Akibat Virus Corona di Provinsi Sumut. Berdasarkan surat tersebut, kata Akhyar, Kota Medan juga memandang perlu untuk mengikuti peningkatan status yang telah ditetapkan oleh Gubsu dari Status Siaga Bencana menjadi Status Tanggap Darurat Bencana.
Selanjutnya ungkap Akhyar, biaya yang timbul akibat ditetapkannya keputusan tersebut dibebankan pada Anggaran pendapatan dan belanja daerah (APBD) atau sumber lain yang sah dan tidak mengikat, sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan dan perundang-undangan.
Terkait dengan perubahan status tersebut, Akhyar kembali mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk tidak keluar rumah jika tidak ada keperluan yang sangat mendesak. Di samping itu juga sering membersihkan tangan dengan mengunakan hand sanitizer maupun sabun, menggunakan masker ketika terpaksa harus keluar rumah serta menerapkan physical distancing (jarak fisik) minimal 1 meter.
Pemko Medan saat ini, papar Akhyar, terus melakukan langkah-langkah konkret guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19, seperti penyemprotan disinfektan di seluruh wilayah Kota Medan, penutupan beberapa ruas jalan guna mengurangi mobilisasi masyarakat, penertiban tempat-tempat keramaian. “Mari bersama-sama kita putus mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19 dengan tetap menjaga kebersihan dan mengurangi aktifitas di luar rumah,” harapnya.
