Palembang, Beritaterkini.co.id | Dunia pendidikan sudah berbulan-bulan dalam cengkraman pandemi covid-19 sehingga paradigm pendidikan berubah menjadi pendidikan berbasis daring atau lebih akrab di kenal dengan pendidikan online.

Suatu perguruan tinggi tentunya terdapat tri darma perguruan tinggi yakni pembelajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat. Tri darma tersebut harus wajib dilakukan oleh para dosen karena menyangkut kompetensi dosen itu sendiri. Namun, akibat pandemi covid-19 tri darma perguruan tinggi tersebut bisa dikatakan kurang optimal.

Kini dunia pendidikan seakan-akan mendapatkan angin segar karena pemerintah akan menerapkan tatan hidup baru yakni new normal walaupun tak bisa di ungkiri pandemi covid-19 masih saja menghantui semua kalangan masyarakat.

Menyikapi akan di adakannya era new normal di berbagai wilayah yang ada di Indonesia khususnya Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Dr. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Si., selaku Rektor Universitas PGRI Palembang melalui Humas Universitas PGRI Palembang Dr. Mulyadi, MA saat ditemui di ruangannya memaparkan bahwat pandemi covid-19 berpengaruh terhadap semua lini kehidupan termaksud lini pendidikan. “Kita sebagai universitas besar yang ada di Sumsel, tentu saja kita harus menyesuaikan dengan kondisi yang ada dan tentunya tetap mematuhi kebijakan-kebijakan pemerintah termaksud kebijakan gugus tugas pencegahan pandemi covid-19” ungkapnya.

“Tentunya, kita akan tetap menyesuaikan dan  mengikuti kebijakan pemerintah. Apabila pemerintah Sumsel akan menerapkan tatanan hidup baru “New Normal” kita akan tetap menjalankan protokol kesehatan. Universitas PGRI Palembang telah menyiapkan sarana dan prasana protocol kesehatan seperti menyiapkan alat pendeteksi suhu badan atau Thermogun, , tempat cuci tangan beserta sabun, serta handsanitizer guna memutus rantai penyebaran dan penularan covid-19 ini.” ujarnya

 

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa pada intinya Universitas PGRI Palembang telah siap menuju new normal dengan tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan dan tetap menjalankan kebijakan yang ditetapkan pemerintah pusat maupun pemerintah daerah khususnya pemerintah Sumatera Selatan terutama Kota Palembang. “ Kita meminta buat semua warga Universitas PGRI Palembang baik dosen, pegawai, masyarakat sekitar kampus bahkan mahasiswa marilah kita patuhi protokol kesehtan, cuci tangan, jaga jarak, dan gunakan masker serta tentunya jaga pola hidup sehat” katanya.

 

“Bicara mengenai penerimaan mahasiswa baru tahun akademik 2020/2021 di tengah pandemi covid 19 ini kita lakukan secara online baik pendaftaran bahkan pembayaran lewat bank di masing-masing daerah. Namun, bagi mahasiswa yang berdomisili dekat dengan Universitas PGRI Palembang bisa langsung datang ke kampus untuk mendaftarkan dirinya  kepanitia penerimaan mahasiswa baru dengan catatan bagi mahasiswa yang datang langsung ke kampus untuk mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Palembang terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengecekan suhu tubuh yang pastinya harus mematuhi protokol kesehatan.” tegasnya.

Lebih lanjut, Ia memaparkan bahwa di Universitas PGRI Palembang yang terakreditasi “B” ini untuk jenjang pendidikan Strata I memiliki lima Fakultas yakni Faklutas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Fakultas Ekonomi, Fakultas Perikanan, Fakultas MIPA dan Faklutas Teknik. Bahkan bukan itu saja, Universitas PGRI Palembang juga memiliki Program Strata II yang terdiir dari Magister Pendidikan Manajemen, Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dengan gelar M.Pd.
