Bertindak selaku Inspektur Upacara dalam upacara tersebut Komandan Kogartap III yang juga Pangdam V/Brawijaya Mayjen TNI Widodo Irwansyah S. Sos M.M. tampak hadir dalam pelepasan tersebut para Pangkotama TNI wilayah Kogartap III, Kasgartap III Surabaya dan para Komandan Satuan.

Komandan Kogartap III Mayjen TNI Widodo Irwansyah S. Sos M.M dalam sambutanya menyampaikan ucapan selamat atas terpilihnya prajurit prajurit Yonif Raider 500/Sikatan dimana negara telah memberi kepercayaan dan kehormatan kepada para prajurit guna melaksanakan penugasan pengamanan daerah rawan di Papua.

Menurutnya dalam penugasan nantinya para prajurit akan menghadapi berbagai permasalahan. Oleh sebab itu dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut agar para prajurit menggunakan cara-cara yang terbaik dan efektif dengan berlandaskan sumpah prajurit, delapan Wajib TNI dan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku.

Kepada para prajurit yang terlibat dalam Satgas Dangartap ini berpesan agar tetap fokus pada tujuan dan sasaravn penugasan dengan mengedepankan kewaspadaan dan kesiapsigaan serta menjalin koordinasi yang baik dengan seluruh instansi terkait.
