Jacob Ereste : *Peran dan Kebangkitan Emak-emak Dalam Aktivitas Kaum Pergerakan*

Fenomena kebangkitan Emak-emak yang tergabung dalam kelompok pengajian, perkumpulan arisan di kampung dan himpunan Emak-emak dalam wadah yang lain, setidaknya ditandai sejak setahun silam — atau bahkan lebih — ketika Forum Jaringan Islam Sosialis melaksanakan diskusi ba’da Jum’at di Rumah Kedaulatan Rakyat, Jl. Guntur. 49 Menteng Jakarta Pusat.

Alasan pertama saya yang menandai pengambil-alihan acara diskusi itu sempat mendapat hardikan dari Mas Sri Bintang Pamungkas yang mengingatkan bahwa turun tangannya Emak-emak itu bukan pengambil-alihan akibat dari keoknya Bapak-bapak yang sudah kewalahan mengelola acara.

Toh realitasnya sampai sekarang peranan Emak-emak semakin berkibar-kibar. Setidaknya acara sosialisasi UUD 1945 yang Asli versus UUD 1945 yang palsu oleh Fachri Lubis, Doli Yatim dan Darmo yang dibeking Imam Ma’arif, toh acaranya jadi terkesan rapi lantaran berkat piawainya sentuhan tangan Ibu Hajah Elly Suhatini.

Ternyata ambil bagiannya Emak-emak dalam aktivis pergerakan justru relatif lebih tulus dan ikhlas, meski agak riuh dengan acara mereka yang happy-happy sifatnya seperti selfi dan foto bareng. Tapi lantaran itu pun dokumentasi bisa jadi lebih lengkap.

Dalam catatan saya sejumlah forum atau kelompok diskusi yang ada di Jakarta terkesan bisa lebih kuat bertahan menyelenggarakan acara rutinitasnya sejak Emak-emak mengambil peran yang tak biasa atau kurang layak dan bagus hasilnya jika ditangani oleh kaum lelaki.

Misalnya untuk urusan konsumsi, bisa dipastikan jadi beres jika Emak-emak yang menanganinya. Begitu juga untuk membereskan segala bentuk peralatan inventaris biasanya lebih terjamin aman dan rapi’jali dan dapat tersimpan dengan baik.

Kelompok Emak-emak yang dominan berperan itu bisa saja bukan dalam bentuk jumlah, entah materi atau pun dalam nilangan personil. Tapi dalam kondisi darurat misalnya sekedar untuk mengadakan seruputan kopi dan gorengan seadanya sering ditampilkan sekonyong-konyong tanpa banyak cingcong oleh Emak-emak.

Tak sedikit pula Emak-emak yang memboyong seabrek makanan langsung dari rumahnya masing-masing. Bahkan Susi Ibrahim sering membawa botok untuk lauk makan siang. Di Indemo (Indonesian Demokration Monitor) besutan Bang Hariman Siregar ada Dessy yang super aktif dan lincah hingga untuk memoderatori acara diskusi yang berat-berat pun mampu dicairkannya.

Di ForJis (Forum Jaringan Islam Sosialis) binaan Azwar Esfa dan M. Nur Lapong juga tak kalah banyak Emak-emak yang berperan penting dalam setiap menyelenggarakan acara, tidak kecuali saat acara makan ikan bakar bersama walau yang acap jadi sponsornya adalah Daeng Hafid Nabba.

Menurut saya fenomena kebangkitan Emak-emak sungguh menarik dicermati secara tersendiri. Tak hanya ikut mengawal berbagai sidang di pengadilan yang mendakwa para aktivis, tapi juga saat aksi dan unjuk rasa yang mengusung masalah rakyat atau orang banyak, Emak-emak yang cantik-cantik itu mau pasang badannya yang cantik dan rela berpanas-panas disengat terik matahari atau guyuran hujan maupun semburan water canon yang tak memilih-milih jenis kelaminnya itu.

Setidaknya, sebagai jurnalis saya juga makin semangat meliput acara bersama Emak-emak. Apalagi konsumsi darurat bisa dipastikan ada di dalam tas jinjingnya. Jadi kalau hanya sekedar untuk menghilangkan haus dan mengganjal perut yang lapar, adalah sepotong roti yang bisa dilahap bersama.

Pada waktu-waktu terakhir ini kelompok Emak-emak semakin ramai ambil peranan dan bermunculan. Agaknya ini bagian dari kesadaran dan kepeduluan yang cukup dibanding bila harus diatasi oleh kaum lelaki, atau bapak-bapak.

Jadi tak sepenuhnya benar masalah bangsa dan negara ini akan mampu ditangani oleh kaum laki-laki semata. Tapi Emak-emak punya cara dan keunikan sendiri untuk berpartisipasi dan mengambil peran. Minimal bagi kaum lelaki sendiri tak boleh egoistik. Peran kaum perempuan alias Emak-emak sudah terbukti tak bisa diabaikan. Toh, mungkin dengan berbagi peran seperti itu, kita pun bisa lebih menghargai dan menghormati Emak kita sendiri yang asyik dan santai nonton drama Kotea di rumah. Karena itu juga pilihan yang tak bisa dipaksakan seperti Pemilu atau Pilkada.(Red/Aj)
