*Jasa Marga Kembali Tegaskan Jalan Tol Hanya Untuk Kendaraan Roda 4 Atau Lebih*

Jasa Marga mengkonfirmasi bahwa saat ini bersama dengan Pihak Kepolisian tengah mengidentifikasi rombongan pesepeda yang memasuki Jalan Tol Jagorawi tepatnya Km 46+500 (Polingga), kejadian ini terjadi pada Minggu (14/9) sekitar pukul 11.00 WIB.

Berdasarkan keterangan petugas di lapangan serta Pihak Kepolisian, rombongan pesepeda tersebut masuk melalui akses masuk Jalan Tol Jagorawi Km 47+200 (traffic light Ciawi), dan mencoba melawan arah dengan menyeberang di median pada Km 46+500, menuju Tempat Istirahat dan Pelayanan (TIP) Km 45. Saat ini kejadian tersebut masih dalam pemeriksaan lanjut dari Pihak Kepolisian.

General Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Oemi Vierta Moerdika menjelaskan, Jasa Marga sangat menyayangkan tindakan pengendara sepeda yang masuk dan menggunakan jalan tol hingga membahayakan diri sendiri dan pengguna jalan lainnya. “Berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 15 Tahun 2005, Pasal 38 Ayat 1, disebutkan, jalan tol hanya diperuntukan bagi pengguna jalan yang menggunakan kendaraan bermotor roda empat atau lebih,” tegasnya.

Oemi juga menyampaikan bahwa Jasa Marga telah memasang rambu-rambu informasi terkait hal tersebut, “Kami telah memasang rambu larangan kendaraan roda dua masuk tol, rambu kendaraan apa saja yang boleh masuk tol dan batas kecepatan berkendara di jalan tol, di setiap akses masuk tol,” tambah Oemi.

Larangan kendaraan roda dua melintasi jalan tol dibuat demi keselamatan pengendara roda dua tersebut, juga pengguna jalan tol lainnya.”Jalan tol sebenarnya berbahaya bila dilewati kendaraan roda dua, sebab spesifikasi rancang bangunnya ditujukan untuk kendaraan roda empat atau lebih”.

Misalnya soal kecepatan, minimal kendaraan yang melintas di jalan tol antar kota melaju 80 Km/jam, sedangkan untuk jalan tol perkotaan 60 Km/jam.

Pengendara sepeda juga akan bermasalah dengan empasan angin dari kendaraan lain sebab jalan tol dibuat tanpa hambatan,” Oemi menegaskan.

Jika kendaraan roda dua masuk tol, dapat dikenakan tindakan hukum sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Informasi lalu lintas di seputar jalan tol dapat diakses melalui Call Center 24 Jam di nomor 14080. (Red/Aj)
