Banjir Kabupaten Kota Waringin Timur, Masyarakat Dihimbau Tetap Waspada Meski Air Mulai Surut

Akibat hujan dengan intesitas tinggi dan melupnya sungai Mentaya mengakibatkan 1.118 unit rumah terdampak dengan Tinggi Muka Air (TMA) 80-120 cm. (BPBD Kab. Kotawaringin Timur)

Banjir yang merendam beberapa kecamatan di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah dilaporkan pagi ini Rabu (16/9) mulai surut.

Kendati demikian pemerintah setempat menghimbau masyarakat agar tetap waspada antisipasi jika terjadi banjir susulan.

Hal tersebut juga didukung dengan adanya peringatan dini dari Badan Metereologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) untuk wilayah Kalimantan Tengah yang berpotensi hujan lebat yang dapat disertai petir dan angin kencang, pada Kamis hari ini (17/9).

Sementara itu akibat banjir yang melanda sejak Senin lalu (7/9) tersebut, Bupati Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur menetapkan Status Tanggap Darurat Penanganan Bencana Banjir selama 14 hari, terhitung sejak tanggal 14–27 September 2020.

Akibat hujan dengan intesitas tinggi dan melupnya sungai Mentaya mengakibatkan 1.118 unit rumah terdampak dengan Tinggi Muka Air (TMA) 80-120 cm yang terbagi di delapan desa di Kecamatan Antang Kalang, enam desa di Kecamatan Telaga Antang dan empat desa di Kecamatan Mentaya terendam.

Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur melaporkan banjir di Kecamatan Antang Kalang dengan ketinggian air 20 hingga 70 cm, air sudah mulai surut. Banjir mengakibatkan 245 rumah terendam dengan 247 KK terdampak.

Sementara di Kecamatan Mentaya Hulu dengan ketinggian air 0,5 hingga 1,5 meter, debit air masih bertahan. Banjir mengakibatkan 65 rumah terendam dengan 110 KK terdampak.

Selain itu di Kecamatan Telaga Antang dengan ketinggian air 0,5 hingga 1,5 meter, mengakibatkan 104 rumah dengan 195 KK terdampak.

Dilaporkan pula debit air di Kecamatan Antang Kalang mulai surut sementara di Kecamatan Telaga Antang dan Kecamatan Mentaya Hulu masih bertahan.

Hingga saat ini, BPBD Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur terus melakukan koordinasi dengan aparat setempat melalui Camat, Kapolsek dan Kades di wilayah terdampak guna menghimbau masyarakat agar waspada terhadap aliran listrik kabel yg terendam air.

Selain itu himbauan untuk persiapan dan keamanan keluarga dan harta benda juga di terus dilakukan.

Pemberian bantuan berupa sembako kepada masyarakat terdampak banjir juga dilakukan. Bantuan yang diberikan dari bank BNI senilai Rp 50 jt (400 paket sembako) tersebut terbagi pada 3 Kecamatan, dengan rincian sebanyak 134 paket untuk Kecamatan Antang Kalang, 132 paket untuk Kecamatan Telaga Antang dan 134 paket untuk Kecamatan Mentaya Hulu.
