KRI Malahayati-362 telah rampung menjalani Program Mid Life Modernization (MLM) yang dilaksanakan oleh PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) sehingga siap untuk kembali beroperasi mendukung kesiapan armada TNI AL.
Serah terima operasional KRI Malahayati-362 dilaksanakan secara simbolis oleh Kapuskod Baranahan Kementerian Pertahanan Laksma TNI Yos Sumiarsa mewakili Kabaranahan Kementerian Pertahanan kepada Asisten Logistik (Aslog) KASAL Laksda TNI Moelyanto disaksikan oleh Direktur Utama PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Budiman Saleh, Pangkoarmada II Laksda TNI Heru Kusmanto, dan pejabat teras di lingkungan TNI AL.
Serah terima operasional juga dihadiri oleh Jajaran Direksi PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) dan tamu undangan tidak lebih dari 30 orang sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan.
Direktur Utama PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Budiman Saleh dalam sambutannya menyatakan MLM merupakan tahap modernisasi pada kapal yang sudah mencapai batas umur yang ditentukan.
Dalam tahap modernisasi tersebut instrumen baik platform, sensor dan senjata, serta performa kapal ditingkatkan sehingga dapat maksimal menjalankan tugas operasional TNI AL.
Selain itu Direktur Utama PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) mengucapkan terima kasih atas kepercayaaan dan dukungan yang selalu diberikan Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia dan TNI AL kepada PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) baik dalam pembangunan maupun pemeliharaan dan perbaikan kapal perang.
Sementara Kabaranahan Kementerian Pertahanan dalam sambutannya yang disampaikan oleh Kapuskod Baranahan Kementerian Pertahanan Laksma TNI Yos Sumiarsa menyatakan Program MLM yang telah selesai dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tempur KRI Malahayati-362 sehingga dapat kembali melaksanakan tugas operasional sesuai fungsinya dalam menjaga kedaulatan NKRI.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut juga disampaikan terimakasih kepada PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) atas keberhasilan Program MLM KRI Malahayati-362.
Pada kesempatan tersebut Aslog KASAL Laksda TNI. Mulyanto dalam sambutannya menyatakan apresiasi terhadap PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) sebagai galangan mampu menyelesaikan program MLM terlebih di saat Pandemi Covid-19. Setelah serah terima operasional ini KRI Malahayati-362 akan diproyeksikan akan memperkuat jajaran armada di Komando Armada (Koarmada) 3 di Sorong, Papua.
Program MLM KRI Malahayati-362 yang dilaksanakan oleh PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) berhasil diselesaikan sesuai kontrak. Modernisasi mencakup peremajaan ship platform, modernisasi CPP & Sensor-Senjata, penggantian propulsi CODOG menjadi CODAD, diesel generator, dan pembaharuan CMS, serta training kepada pengawak kapal TNI Angkatan Laut dalam pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan tingkat organik.
Salah satu aspek yang menarik dalam proyek MLM adalah penggantian sistem penggerak combine diesel or gas turbine (CODOG) dan dimoderinasi menggunakan combine diesel and diesel (CODAD) melalui penggantian Gas Turbin dengan 2 unit Diesel Engine, sehingga total menjadi 4 Diesel Engine yang menjadikan lebih powerful, stabil dan ekonomis.
Penyesuaian atau modernisasi dengan teknologi terkini juga dilakukan pada combat management system (CMS). Setelah melaksanakan program MLM, KRI Malahayati-362 mampu melaksanakan fungsi peperangan laut modern dan estimasi operasional selama 15 tahun ke depan.
Hal tersebut menunjukan kapasitas dan kapabilitas yang dimiliki oleh PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) dalam menjalankan proyek yang telah dipercayakan.
Seluruh pekerjaan program MLM KRI Malahayati-362 telah diselesaikan dan telah lulus Verifikasi 1, Verifikasi 2 dan Verifikasi 3 (uji fungsi) serta Uji Kelaikan atau Harbour Acceptance Test (HAT) dan Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) yang dilakukan bersama oleh PT PAL Indonesia (Persero), Satgas MLM KRI Malahayati-362 dan Puslaik Kementerian Pertahanan yang dibantu oleh Satlaikmattim sesuai ketentuan dalam kontrak.
KRI Malahayati-362 telah mendapatkan Sertifikat Laik Laut Militer dari Puslaik Kementerian Pertahanan dan Certificate of Final Acceptance (COFA) dari Baranahan Kementerian Pertahanan.
Nama KRI Malahayati-362 diambil dari Pahlawan Nasional asal Aceh yaitu Laksamana Malahayati yang dengan gagah berani memimpin Inong Balee melawan Armada Kapal Belanda pimpinan Cornelis de Houtman.
Setelah Program MLM yang bertujuan untuk memperpanjang usia pakai dan modernisasi semua sistem yang ada, KRI Malahayati-362 diharapkan akan terus mewarisi keberanian dan semangat Laksamana Malahayati.
KRI Malahayati-362 merupakan korvet kelas Fatahilah yang dibuat oleh galangan kapal Wilton-Fijenoord di Belanda dan masuk dalam operasional TNI AL pada tahun 1980, memiliki panjang 83,85 meter dan berat 1484 ton.
Program MLM KRI Malahayati-362 adalah keberhasilan anak bangsa untuk memperkuat TNI AL dalam menjaga kedaulatan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) sebagai Lead Integrator Matra Laut untuk kapal kombatan selalu siap mendukung program Pemerintah dan mewujudkan kemandirian Industri Pertahanan Nasional.

Kegiatan _Mild Life Modernization_ (MLM) merupakan salah satu upaya mempertahankan usia pakai dan kemampuan tempur Kelas Korvet.
MLM KRI Malahayati-362 mulai dilaksanakan pada bulan september 2016 dilaksanakan seluruhnya oleh oleh PT. Pal Indonesia (Persero) bersama PT. Putindo Trada Wisesa.
