Satuan Lalu Lintas (Satlantas) Polres Tulang Bawang kembali melakukan penindakan terhadap kendaraan Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) yang melintas di wilayah hukumnya.
Kapolres Tulang Bawang AKBP Andy Siswantoro, SIK melalui Kasat Lantas Iptu Ipran, SH mengatakan, kegiatan penindakan tersebut berlangsung hari Minggu (25/10/2020) siang, di Jalan Lintas Timur (Jalintim), Kampung Kahuripan Dalem, Kecamatan Menggala Timur, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang.
“Saya bersama dengan lima personel Satlantas, kemarin siang kembali melakukan penindakan terhadap kendaraan ODOL yang melintas di Jalintim, Kampung Kahuripan Dalem,” ujar Iptu Ipran, Senin (26/10/2020).
Dalam kegiatan ini, petugas kami berhasil menindak satu unit kendaraan truck yang masuk kriteria ODOL dan terhadap sopirnya langsung diberikan tindakan berupa tilang di tempat.
Kasat Lantas menjelaskan, dalam pelaksanaan Operasi Zebra Krakatau-2020 yang mulai berlangsung hari Senin (26/10/2020), kendaraan ODOL menjadi salah satu sasaran penegakkan hukum (gakkum).
“Kami mengingatkan kepada para pengendara yang melintas, mulai hari ini Operasi Zebra Krakatau-2020 telah dinyatakan berlaku dan akan berlangsung selama 14 hari kedepan,” jelas Iptu Ipran.
Untuk itu, kami mengimbau kepada seluruh pengendara yang akan melintas untuk senantiasa mematuhi peraturan dan rambu-rambu lalu lintas dalam berkendaraan serta melengkapi diri dengan surat-surat kendaraan seperti surat izin mengemudi (SIM) dan surat tanda nomor kendaraan (STNK).
Khusus untuk pengendara sepeda motor, selalu gunakan helm SNI baik pengendara maupun penumpangnya dan guna mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 yang pandeminya saat ini masih berlangsung, para pengendara wajib mematuhi protokol kesehatan diantaranya dengan memakai masker saat berada di luar rumah.(Red/Aj)
