Kegiatan yang dipandu oleh Ketua Majelis Taklim DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Medan Hj. Fitriani Manurung tersebut dihadiri langsung oleh Calon Walikota Medan nomor Urut 2, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, dan didampingi oleh Ust. Nursyam dan Ust. Fuad Akbar.
“Silaturahmi Medan Berkah sengaja dilakukan oleh Majelis Taklim DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Medan untuk mensosialisasikan sekaligus menkampanyekan Pasangan Walikota Medan dan Wakil Walikota Medan Bobby Nasution dan Aulia Rahman dalam Pilkada 2020” Ujar Fitriani Manurung dalam pernyataannya Usai Kegiatan.
Selain itu Menurut Politisi Alumus Progam Doktotal Unimed tersebut mengatakan bahwa tujuan dari Silaturahmi Medan Berkah yang menyasar Majelis Taklim Ibu-ibu adalah mendorong partisipasi pemilih perempuan dalam pesta Rakyat dan mengajak perempuan mandiri dalam menentukan Pilihan atas kepemimpinan Kota Medan Kedepannya,
“Kita ingin mendorong Kaum Perempuan terutama ibu-ibu, berperan aktif dalam kontestasi Pilkada 2020, sehingga perempuan Kota Medan menjadi pemilih Aktif bukan Pasif yang hanya bisa pasrah” Imbuh Wakil Ketua Bidang Parawisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Medan Tersebut.
Sementara itu Bobby Nasution tampak nyaman duduk diatas ambal yang seyogyanya hanya diperuntukkan sebagai lapis jalan yang kotor bahkan Bobby tidak duduk Kursi tamu yang disediakan dan lebih memilih duduk lesehan agar setara dengan Jama’ah Ibu Pengajian.
Kepada ibu-ibu pengajian, Bobby Afif Nasution ini menjelaskan Kota Medan saat ini harus mendapatkan keberkahan. Mulai dari hal yang harusnya sudah diberkahi, seperti nikmat turunnya hujan.
“Kalau siang-siang yang terik, sering buat panas hati. Lalu tiba-tiba turun hujan, pasti agak senang hati kita. Tapi kalau hujannya sudah lebih dari satu jam jadi panas lagi hati kita, gara-gara kebanjiran. Harusnya keberkahan hujan benar-benar berkah di Kota Medan, jangan jadi bencana buat kita,” ucap Bobby.
Hujan, sambungnya, adalah suatu keberkahan yang harus dikelola dengan baik oleh pemerintah kota (Pemko) Medan.
“Bagaimana air hujan menjadi benar berkah, airnya mengalir ke sungai, masuk ke dalam tanah, jadi tidak ada lagi banjir,” tuturnya.
Bobby pun menyatakan komitmennya untuk menjalankan visi misi yang sudah dibuatnya bersama pasangan H. Aulia Rachman, saat terpilih nanti.
“Ini baru pertama sekali saya mencalonkan diri, maju sebagai wali kota. Alhamdulillah saya belum pernah berbohong sebagai calon wali kota, mudah-mudahan, kalau saya nanti terpilih dan saya bohong jangan terima lagi saya datang ke sini,” pungkasnya.
