Di tengah dinamika sosial dan politik global, kemajemukan bangsa, termasuk keberagaman agama, tak menjadi penghalang bagi kita untuk tetap hidup rukun, saling mengayomi, dan saling melindungi sebagai saudara sebangsa dan setanah air.
“Kerukunan antar umat beragama tidak muncul secara tiba-tiba.
Kerukunan itu merupakan hasil dari kesadaran bersama bahwa perpecahan dan egoisme golongan akan membawa kehancuran,” ujar Presiden Joko Widodo saat menyampaikan amanatnya dalam Rapat Koordinasi Nasional Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) sebagaimana ditayangkan YouTube Sekretariat Presiden pada Selasa, 3 November 2020.
Presiden mengatakan bahwa kerukunan yang telah lama terbentuk tersebut merupakan hasil ikhtiar bersama untuk hidup saling menghormati dengan tidak memberi ruang bagi tumbuhnya rasa saling curiga dan berkembangnya benih-benih permusuhan yang pada akhirnya dapat memecah belah persatuan dan persaudaraan bangsa.
Atas dasar hal itu, Kepala Negara menyampaikan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya bagi para penggerak dan aktivis kerukunan umat beragama yang dalam kesehariannya tak lelah untuk merawat kerukunan dan toleransi di tengah masyarakat.
Upaya-upaya serupa itulah yang menyebabkan kita dapat menikmati kehidupan berbangsa yang kondusif dan harmonis.
“Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama merupakan miniatur kebinekaan Indonesia.
Saya berharap tidak ada satupun yang ditinggalkan ataupun dipinggirkan.
FKUB hendaknya menjadi tenda bangsa yang mengayomi semua umat beragama dari beragam kelompok.
Komitmen ini harus tertanam kuat dalam kesadaran para tokoh dan aktivis FKUB di semua tingkatan,” kata Presiden.
Pemerintah sendiri memberikan dukungan penuh agar peran-peran FKUB dapat semakin optimal dalam menyemai nilai-nilai moderasi beragama.
Menurut Presiden, moderasi beragama merupakan pilihan tepat dan selaras dengan jiwa Pancasila di tengah adanya gelombang ekstremisme di berbagai belahan dunia.
“Tantangan kehidupan beragama kian hari kian berat. Kehadiran media sosial dalam mewarnai kehidupan beragama dewasa ini tidak bisa diabaikan.
Tidak jarang media sosial membawa racun seperti hoaks dan ujaran-ujaran kebencian yang justru menimbulkan perpecahan,” ucapnya.
“Untuk itu dibutuhkan figur dan tokoh-tokoh agama yang mempersatukan, merangkul, serta piawai melunakkan perbedaan pilihan dan paham menjadi kekuatan sehingga umat tidak terjebak pada pandangan-pandangan yang ekstrem dan melegalkan kekerasan,” imbuhnya.
Kepala Negara berharap agar pertemuan penting FKUB tersebut dapat melahirkan rumusan-rumusan visioner dan rencana-rencana program strategis untuk meneguhkan nilai-nilai moderasi dan toleransi beragama serta menjadi ajang dialog atas berbagai permasalahan yang masih mengganjal dan menemukan jalan keluar yang konstruktif bagi kerukunan antar umat beragama di Indonesia.
