Status Aktivitas Gunung Merapi Naik Level III

Balai Penyelidikan dan Pengembangan Teknologi Kebencanaan Geologi (BPPTKG) menginformasikan bahwa status aktivitas Gunung Merapi menjadi level III atau Siaga.

Kenaikan status tersebut tertanggal mulai hari ini, Kamis (5/11), pukul 12.00 WIB.

Berdasarkan data-data aktivitas vulkanik selama ini, BTTKG mengeluarkan status dari level II atau waspada menjadi level III atau Siaga.

Kenaikan status mendorong BPTTKG mengeluarkan beberapa rekomendasi.

BPPTKG melakukan pemetaan sektoral terkait prakiraan daerah bahaya meliputi 12 desa yang tersebar di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dan Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Wilayah administrasi desa yang masuk di dalam prakiraan daerah bahaya di DIY yaitu Glagaharjo, Kepuharjo dan Umbulharjo yang berada di Kecamatan Cangkringan, Sleman.

Sedangkan di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, tiga kabupaten teridentifikasi memiliki wilayah-wilayah desa yang masuk dalam prakiraan daerah bahaya, yaitu Magelang, Boyolali dan Klaten.

Berikut ini wilayah di tingkat desa dan kecamatan yang masuk dalam tiga kabupaten tersebut, Ngargomulyo, Krinjing dan Paten di Dukun, Magelang, Tlogolele, Klakah dan Jrakah di Selo, Boyolali dan Tegal Mulyo, Sidorejo dan Balerante di Kemalang, Klaten.

Di samping itu, rekomendasi kedua yang diberikan oleh BPPTKG yakni penambangan di alur sungai-sungai yang berhulu di Gunung Merapi dalam kawasan rawan bencana (KRB) III direkomendasikan untuk dihentikan.

Selanjutnya, pelaku wisata agar tidak melakukan kegiatan wisata di KRB III Gunung Merapi, termasuk kegiatan pendakian ke puncak Gunung Merapi.

Terakhir, Pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman, Kabupaten Magelang, Kabupaten Boyolali dan Kabupaten Klaten agar mempersiapkan segara sesuatu yang terkait dengan upaya mitigasi bencana akibat letusan Gunung Merapi yang bisa terjadi setiap saat.

BPPTKG menginfokan bahwa pasca erupsi besar Gunung Merapi pada 2010 lalu, gunung yang berada di perbatasan DIY dan Jawa Tengah mengalami erupsi magmatis.

Tercatat erupsi pada rentang waktu 11 Agustus 2018 hingga September 2019.

“Seiring dengan berhentinya ekstrusi magma, Gunung Merapi Kembali memasuki fase intrusi magma baru yang ditandai dengan peningkatan gempa vulkanik dalam (VA) dan rangkaian letusan eksplosif sampai dengan 21 Juni 2020,” tulis Kepala BPPTKG Hanik Humaida, Rabu (5/11).

Ia menambahkan, aktivitas vulkanik terus meningkat hingga saat ini. Hal tersebut berdasarkan data hasil pemantauan aktivitas vulkanik, seperti kegempaan dan deformasi yang masih terus meningkat.

Kondisi tersebut dapat memicu terjadi proses ekstrusi magma secara cepat atau letusan eksplosif.

“Potensi ancaman bahaya berupa guguran lava, lontaran material dan awan panas sejauh 5 km,” tambah Hanik.

Status kenaikan aktivitas Gunung Merapi ini telah disampaikan BPPTKG kepada Kepala Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana, Gubernur Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Gubernur Jawa Tengah dan para bupati di beberapa wilayah. (Red/AJ)
