LANGKAT – BERITATERKINI.CO.ID – Masalah utama Guru Indonesia adalah mindset. Zaman telah berubah, perkembangan teknologi semakin canggih, arus informasi begitu cepat, namun mindset guru masih belum banyak yang berubah.
Hal itu disampaikan oleh Prof Syawal Gultom sebagai Dewan Pakar Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) saat memberi sambutan dalam pembukaan Rapat Koordinasi Wilayah (Rakorwil) yang diselenggarakan pada 7-9 Januari 2022 di Camping Ground Namo Sirasira Kabupaten Langkat.
Selain itu, lanjut Prof Syawal, IGI juga harus mampu menciptakan banyak Guru profesional.
“IGI harus berperan dalam menciptakan guru-guru profesional. Guru profesional itu tidak hanya guru yang bisa mengajar sesuai dengan tupoksinya, tapi juga guru yang mampu mengintegrasikan materi-materi pelajaran dengan tujuan negara kita”, ungkap Dewan Pakar IGI ini.
Mantan Rektor Unimed ini juga memaparkan bagaimana posisi guru di era revolusi 3.0 dan 4.0.
“Guru pada era Revolusi 3.0 adalah guru yang berperan sebagai fasilitator. Artinya guru tidak bisa mendominasi proses pembelajaran. Siswa aktif belajar dan guru memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran tersebut. Sedangkan Guru pada 4.0 adalah student as teacher. Pada era ini murid bisa berperan sebagai guru. Murid menjadi content creator, menjadi produser, dan menjadi kondaktor”, ungkap Prof Syawal.
Lantas bagaimana posisi guru dalam revolusi 4.0, menurut Prof Syawal, guru harus bisa mengaktifasi sumber belajar.
“Di era dimana siswa sebagai guru ini, dan perkembangan artificial intelejen begitu berperan dalam pembelajaran, maka guru harus mampu menajdi actived be source of learning”, terang Prof Syawal.
Mantan Rektor Unimed ini juga memaparkan bahwa untuk bisa menjadi actived be source of learning, ada 3 syarat yang harus dimiliki oleh guru: yaitu, terampil IT, menguasai Bahasa Inggris, dan memiliki etos, integritas dan mindset.
Di akhir sambutannya Prof Syawal menegaskan bahwa Guru yang hebat adalah Guru yang melatih dirinya sendiri.
