Hal ini sebagaimana disampaikan oleh salah satu Tokoh Pemuda pergerakan sosial kemasyarakatan, Hendriyanto saat dimintai keterangannya lewat pesan Whatsapp, pada Senin 28/11/22,
Tokoh Muda yang peduli lingkungan ini Hendriyanto mengatakan bahwa beberapa petugas lapangan dari Dinas PUPR Palembang bersama masyarakat melakukan pembersihan parit-parit di Lorong Bening Sari, Kelurahan 20 Ilir D II, Kecamatan Kemuning, Kota Palembang.
“Gotong royong bersama pembersihan parit-parit ini sebagaimana sebagai antisipasi banjir ketika hujan datang dengan tiba-tiba. Kita tahu bahwa daerah disini merupakan salah satu tempat rawan banjir karena banyak terdapat sampah yang menumpuk didalam parit-parit. Oleh itulah atas inisiatif masyarakat dan koordinasi dengan Kepala Dinas PUPR Palembang, maka kita lakukan gotong royong ini,” ujar Hendriyanto.
Hendriyanto menambahkan bahwa masyarakat yang dibantu oleh puluhan tim lapangan dari Dinas PUPR Palembang bahu membahu bersihkan parit-parit dari sampah plastik dan menggangkat sendimen lumpur dari dalam parit tersebut supaya nantinya ketika hujan air dapat mengalir.
“Ketua Tim Lapangan dari Dinas PUPR Palembang, Pak Samson bersama timnya dan masyarakat tampak antusias gotong royong membersihkan aliran parit. Semoga kegiatan ini juga dapat dilakukan di tempat lain yang dinilai rawan banjir dan genangan air, ” kata Hendriyanto.
Selain itu, Hendriyanto berharap kalau bisa kegiatan gotong royong masyarakat dan Pemerintah Kota Palembang ini terus dilakukan untuk mengatasi genangan air dan mengantisipasi banjir di Kota Palembang. Karena permasalahan banjir dan genangan air ini merupakan masalah kita bersama dan perlu adanya kerja sama antara masyarakat dengan Pemerintahan.
“Sekiranya Pemerintah Kota Palembang agar dapat untuk menghimbau masyarakat atau memberikan pelatihan khusus untuk penanganan banjir, supaya masyarakat dapat dengan siap dan siaga ketika datangnya hujan. Kalau masyarakat sigap dan didukung oleh reaksi yang cepat dari Pemerintah, saya rasa kota Palembang yang kita cintai ini bebas dari genangan air dan banjir,”tandanya.(RZP)
