Kedatangan Tim LKBH FH UNUD diterima langsung Kepala Rutan Gianyar, yang diwakili oleh Kasubsi Pelayanan Tahanan, Anak Agung Gde Putra Aribawa dan Kasubsi Pengelolaan, Ngakan Made Wisata.
“Adapun maksud kedatangan Tim LKBH FH UNUD ini, untuk melaksanakan Prodeo Tentang Penyuluhan Hukum Cuma-Cuma (Prodeo) kepada WBP Rutan Gianyar,” terangnya.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh Narasumber Perwakilan Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNUD, A.A. Ngurah Oka Yudistira Darmadi dan Ketua LKBH FH UNUD, Dr.I Nyoman Prabu Buana Rumiarta, S.H., M.H., serta didampingi oleh tim Penyuluh Hukum dari Kanwil Kemenkumham Bali, Ratih Rosmayuani dan I Gde Adi Saputra.
Dalam sambutannya, Kasubsi Pelayanan Tahanan, Anak Agung Gde Putra Aribawa mengharapkan penyuluhan maupun konsultasi hukum ini dapat membuka wawasan Warga Binaan untuk lebih sadar hukum, yang dapat mempelajari serta memahami secara detail terkait proses hukum yang sedang dijalaninya.
“Kami berharap, dengan kegiatan ini dapat lebih membuka wawasan berpikir bagi WBP sehingga kelak saat keluar dan seandainya berurusan dengan hukum sudah bisa paham hal-hal apa atau tindakan apa saja yang dapat ditempuh,” kata Anak Agung Gde Putra Aribawa.
Disisi lain, mewakili Dekan Fakultas Universitas Udayana, Anak Agung Ngurah Oka Yudistira Darmadi mengatakan, bahwa bantuan hukum bagi WBP atau Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan memang sudah menjadi hak yang harus dipenuhi demi terwujudnya persamaan dan perlakuan di hadapan hukum.
Oleh karena itu, WBP difasilitasi akses untuk melakukan konsultasi hukum dan mendapat perlindungan hukum serta pendampingan hukum demi sebuah keadilan.
“Warga Binaan harus mengetahui hak dan kewajibannya. Dengan begitu, mereka bisa menjalani masa pidananya dengan baik dan bermanfaat,” kata Anak Agung Ngurah Oka Yudistira Darmadi, S.H., M.H.
Kemudian, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan materi oleh Ratih Rosmayuani dan I Gde Adi Saputra selaku Narasumber Tim Penyuluh Hukum Kanwil Bali tentang Hak Asasi Manusia serta dilanjutkan oleh Narasumber Ketua LKBH FH UNUD, Dr. I Nyoman Prabu Buana Rumiarta terkait konsultasi hukum.
“Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat terwujudnya budaya hukum dalam sikap dan perilaku yang sadar, patuh, taat terhadap hukum,” tegasnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Bali Anggiat Napitupulu menyampaikan, bahwa kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk memenuhi hak para warga binaan untuk mendapatkan pembinaan di bidang hukum.
Disebutkan, pembinaan ini diberikan agar WBP lebih memahami tentang hukum yang berlaku, sehingga diharapkan nanti ketika sudah bebas dan kembali ke masyarakat para WBP tidak kembali melakukan hal yang melanggar hukum.
“Saya memberikan apresiasi atas terselenggaranya kegiatan ini, yang merupakan salah satu kewajiban Negara dalam memberikan Hak kepada para Warga Binaan untuk mendapatkan pembinaan dalam bidang hukum. Diharapkan dengan terselenggaranya kegiatan ini, WBP nantinya akan memiliki bekal pengetahuan tentang hukum, sehingga setelah kembali ke masyarakat nantinya tidak kembali melakukan perilaku melanggar hukum,” pungkasnya.
Kegiatan ini disambut dengan antusias Warga Binaan Rutan Gianyar. Kegiatan ini merupakan wujud komitmen bersama Rutan Gianyar dan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Udayana dalam pemenuhan hak Warga Binaan mengenai bantuan hukum.
