Tolak Kenaikan Tarif PDAM Warga Mandi Di Depan Kantor Walikota Palembang Dulu Kantor Ledeng

Palembang – Berita Terkini.Co.Id. Puluhan perwakilan warga yang mengatasnamakan dari Koalisi Masyarakat Palembang (KMP) geruduk kantor Walikota Palembang menolak kenaikan PDAM Kota Palembang , Jumat (22/09/23).

Mereka menggelar unjuk rasa guna menolak kenaikan tarif air PDAM Kota Palembang yang rencananya akan diterapkan oleh Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang pada Oktober mendatang.

Dalam aksi tersebut di warnai dengan aksi tetorikal dengan mandi di depan kantor Walikota Palembang sebagai bentuk kekecewaan atas kebijakan kenaikan tarif PDAM.

Koordinator aksi, Arki dalam orasinya menilai dengan kenaikan tarif air minum ini justru akan membebani warga Kota Palembang khususnya warga yang hidup kalangan menengah ke bawah.

“Seharusnya kenaikan tarif tersebut, memperhatikan kondisi masyarakat Palembang di tengah meningkatnya harga bahan pokok. Oleh Karena itu, justru kenaikan ini akan menambah beban rumah tangga,”ungkap dia.

Arki menyampaikan bahwa rakyat butuh Jaminan hak untuk sejahtera, hak mendapatkan air bersih, sehingga salah besar apabila bisnis air yang di Kelola Pemkot ini membebani rakyat dengan status Perumda.

“Ingat profit bukan hal utama dengan di dirikannya PDAM ini, tapi ada tanggung jawab sosial yang harus dipenuhi dengan mengabaikan soal cost sebagai alasan untuk meningkatan pelayanan. Hal ini bertolak belakang dengan visi dan misi berdirinya Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang,”jelas dia.

Oleh karena itu, Arki bahwa wajar jika kami sebagai warga kecil menduga kenaikan tarif ini sebagai bentuk akal akalan Pemkot Palembang.

“Dari mana ini bisa disebut akal akalan, karena dari LHP Kota Palembang juga diketahui Pemkot Palembang terus mengucurkan dana ke PDAM untuk menunjang kinerjanya,”ujar dia.

Dia menuturkan bahwa dengan adanya
keputusan tentang kenaikan tarif PDAM kota Palembang, bak petir di tengah terik panas matahari, semua emak -emak menggerutu!!! ngedumel !!! sampai mengumpat -umpat !!! akibat kenaikan tarif PAM per Oktober ini.

“Kebijakan menaikan tarif ini didasari oleh kajian komisi 2 DPRD Kota Palembang dan kajian internal Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang yang informasinya sudah cukup di jadikan dasar untuk kenaikan tersebut,”tutur dia.

Oleh karena itu, Arki meminta kepada Pemkot untuk membenahi kinerja PDAM misalnya soal masih banyak tunggakan tagihan yang datanya terus meningkat, banyak dugaan sambungan illegal PAM di masyarakat yang di back up oknum PDAM, pembengkakan biaya operasional usaha dan persoalan lainya yang juga menjadi hantu banyu bagi PDAM.

“Kami berharap kepada Pihak Pemkot Palembang segera mengevaluasi dan membenahi kinerja pelayanan PDAM dan mengkaji ulang rencana kenaikan tarif tersebut,”tandas dia.

Ditambahkan Diaz selaku koordinator lapangan dengan tegas untuk menolak kenaikan tarif air PDAM Kota Palembang yang rencananya akan diterapkan oleh Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang pada Oktober mendatang.

“Kami meminta DPRD Kota Palembang untuk mendesak pihak terkait guna membatalkan rencana kenaikan tersebut dan memangil Direktur Utama Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang untuk menjelaskan kenaikan tarif PDAM,”tegas dia.

Sementara itu, para pendemo diterima oleh pihak Pemkot Palembang, melalui Plt Asisten III Pemkota Palembang, Alex Fernandus meminta perwakilan para pendemo untuk berdiskusi dengan pihak Perumda Tirta Musi Palembang di ruang kerjanya.
