Saat Pandemi, Kekerasan Terhadap Perempuan dan Anak di Jatim Meningkat, Ini Kata Kornas TRC PPA
SURABAYA, WWW.BERITATERKINI.CO.ID, Selama pandemi Covid-19 kian mewabah, angka kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan di Jawa Timur meningkat dratis.
“Dari berbagai sumber, memasuki bulan Agustus 2020 ini, jumlah kasus kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak di Jatim mencapai ratusan kasus”.
Hal ini mendapat tanggapan keras dari Koordinator Nasional Tim Reaksi Cepat Perlindungan Perempuan & Anak (TRC PPA) Jeny Claudya Lumowa yang akrab di sapa Bunda Naumi, Ia menjelaskan pada tahun 2019, kekerasan pada perempuan dan anak didominasi pada kekerasan fisik dan psikis, (08/8/2020).
Namun di saat pendemi yang kian mewabah ini, justru jumlah kasus kekerasan seksual mendominasi yang menyusul kemudian kasus kekerasan fisik dan psikis, jelasnya.
Bunda Naumi menegaskan, kasus kekerasan yang menimpa anak – anak di masa pandemi ini, disebabkan karena anak-anak lebih banyak menghabiskan waktunya di rumah.
Selain itu, banyaknya kasus di picu dengan masalah ekonomi saat pandemi. Stres meningkat dan terjadilah kekerasan dalam rumah tangga termasuk kekerasan seksual”.
Untuk itu, TRC PPA akan berkoordinasi dengan pemerintah untuk mengantisipasi dan menanggulangi tindak kejahatan terhadap perempuan & anak Indonesia, khususnya di Jawa Timur, pungkas Bunda.
