PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 7 Madiun mulai Selasa (8/9) sampai hari ini, Kamis (10/9) telah melakukan proses untuk peningkatan keandalan jalur di JPL 303A yang berada di Simpang Mengkreng, Kabupaten Kediri. Selama dua hari terakhir persiapan untuk peningkatan jalur terus dikebut, agar pekerjaan bisa berjalan sesuai dengan waktu yang direncanakan.
Manajer Humas Daop 7, Ixfan Hendriwintoko mengatakan setelah semua persiapan dilakukan, mulai tengah malam nanti tepatnya pukul 23.45 sampai Jumat (11/9) pukul 02.00 akan dilaksanakan penutupan jalan untuk pengerjaan penggantian rel sepanjang 27 meter.
“Karena JPL 303A tersebut berada di jalur provinsi yang menghubungkan tiga kabupaten yakni Kabupaten Nganjuk, Jombang dan Kediri, maka kemungkinan akan terjadi kepadatan lalu lintas selama penutupan jalan,” kata Ixfan.
Sebelumnya Daop 7 Madiun telah melakukan koordinasi dengan pihak berwenang, dalam hal ini Kepolisian Resort Kediri dan Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Kediri, untuk mengantisipasi kemacetan yang timbul selama proses pengerjaan.
Dalam waktu 135 menit tersebut, akan dilakukan pergantian bantalan dan peningkatan kualitas rel dari sebelumnya menggunakan tipe R42 menjadi tipe R54. Setelah selesai penggantian, di lokasi bekas pekerjaan akan diisi dengan karung berisi batu balas (ballast bag) agar jalan bisa dilalui kembali oleh kendaraan.
Meski pekerjaan telah selesai, pada lokasi tidak bisa langsung dilakukan pengaspalan, dikarenakan harus menunggu kondisi jalur stabil terlebih dahulu. Kurang lebih 7 hari atau kondisi jalur sudah stabil, Daop 7 Madiun akan mengaspal kembali jalan yang sebelumnya telah dibongkar.
“PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 7 Madiun meminta maaf atas terganggunya perjalanan saat penutupan jalan. Dan kami mengimbau pengguna jalan untuk berhati-hati saat lewat di lokasi karena kondisi jalan yang belum diaspal dan kemungkinan masih adanya tumpukan material bekas pekerjaan,” tutup Ixfan.
