MAGELANG, WWW.BERITATERKINI.CO.ID, Menteri Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (PPN)/Kepala Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa memberikan ceramah yang disampaikan saat mengikuti acara Virtual Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan tema “Pengembangan Program Pendidikan Afirmasi sebagai Kerjasama Kementerian PPN/Bappenas dengan Universitas Gajah Mada” pada hari Kamis (15/10/2020), di Magelang, Jawa Tengah.
Berdasarkan data yang dihimpun, Program Pendidikan Afirmasi adalah salah satu upaya Pemerintah untuk meningkatkan akses dan kesempatan belajar di Perguruan Tinggi bagi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) atau sederajat yang memiliki potensi akademik tetapi memiliki keterbatasan akses Pendidikan Tinggi (Dikti).
Selain itu, Kementerian PPN/Bappenas juga telah meletakkan Pendidikan Program Afirmasi sebagai bagian dari visi besar Indonesia-sentris.
“Kepada Perguruan Tinggi, terima kasih sudah mendukung program afirmasi ini. Saya harapkan perguruan tinggi lainnya mendukung program ini agar lebih baik lagi.
Selain itu, saya juga berharap kepada Perguruan Tinggi untuk melakukan terobosan agar kegiatan penelitian karya Siswa lebih spesifik sesuai dengan kebutuhan, agenda, atau isu strategis di daerah,” kata Menteri Suharso.
“Saya juga menyarankan kepada Perguruan Tinggi untuk merancang kegiatan pembelajaran di luar kurikulum untuk memperkaya wawasan karya Siswa khususnya terkait dengan perkembangan terkini (data science, entrepreneurship, pengelolaan dana desa, major project, dll); termasuk program magang bagi karyasiswa,” tambah Menteri.
Selain kepada Perguruan Tinggi, Kepala Bappenas juga mendorong para Pemerintah Daerah untuk lebih aktif berperan dalam proses persiapan, perencanaan serta memantau peningkatan kapasitas SDM pegawainya termasuk menyiapkan SDM yang potensial untuk melanjutkan jenjang pendidikan S2 melalui program afirmasi.
“Kepada Pemerintah Daerah (Pemda) yang menjadi sasaran program afirmasi melalui Bappeda atau BKD, saya mengharapkan agar setiap Pemda untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan keahlian yang diperlukan oleh PNS Perencana untuk merespons perkembangan masyarakat terutama dalam rangka transformasi digital serta mendiseminasikan informasi Program Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (Diklat) Afirmasi sehingga semakin banyak PNS di daerah mengikuti Diklat yang diperlukan,” ujar Kepala Bappenas.
Sementara itu menurut data dari Kementerian PPN/Bappenas, Pusat Pembinaan, Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Perencana Bappenas (Pusbindiklatren) yang notabene merupakan pemberi beasiswa untuk Program Pendidikan Afirmasi, juga akan memfasilitasi karya Siswa untuk mengikuti program pengayaan keilmuan yang diadakan Bappenas/donor misal kegiatan training dari JICA atau Bank Dunia dan merancang program afirmasi untuk pelatihan yang diselaraskan dengan pelatihan non gelar dan sertifikasi profesi yang diusulkan melalui pinjaman JICA.
“Pusbindiklatren Bappenas sebagai pemberi beasiswa Program Pendidikan Afirmasi, saya harapkan untuk bisa memfasilitasi karya Siswa di berbagai program-program keilmuan dan juga mampu menggali potensi pembiayaan agar Program Diklat Afirmasi berjalan berkesinambungan untuk pengembangan SDM aparatur (khususnya SDM Perencana) di Kawasan Timur Indonesia dan Daerah 3T (Daerah Tertinggal, Terdepan dan Terluar) di Indonesia,” ungkap Menteri.
