JAKARTA, WWW.BERITATERKINI.CO.ID- Sekjen Kementerian Pertahanan (Kemhan) Marsdya TNI Donny Ermawan Taufanto, M.D.S., didampingi Kabalitbang Kemhan Marsda TNI Julexi Tambayong menyaksikan demo pengoperasian Radar Pasif yang dilaksanakan di Lapangan Udara Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta, dirilis situs Kemhan RI, 12-11-2020.
Kegiatan diawali dengan sambutan dari Sekjen Kemhan Marsdya TNI Donny Ermawan Taufanto, M.D.S., yang mengatakan bahwa penguasaan pembuatan dan pengembangan teknologi Radar Pasif saat ini semakin berkembang dengan adanya teknologi software yang digunakan untuk modifikasi.
Dengan demikian, diharapkan kita dapat memahami bersama teknologi software pada pengembangan Radar Pasif sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang optimal serta dapat mengambil keputusan bagaimana pemanfaatan secara maksimal guna mendukung pencapaian kemandirian teknologi industri pertahanan dan memenuhi kebutuhan operasi TNI.
Acara dilanjutkan dengan paparan tentang Radar Pasif oleh Kabid Matra Udara Puslitbang Alpalhan Kolonel Lek Ir. Bambang Edhie S., M.T. Dia menjelaskan mengenai aspek teknis dan pengoperasian serta peralatan yang berkaitan dengan Radar Pasif.
Radar Pasif itu adalah sistem perangkat pendeteksi target layaknya radar konvensional ataupun tanpa mentransmisikan sinyal ke target yang dimaksud.
Sebagai bagian dari elektronik warfare, Radar Pasif berperan penting dalam melakukan fungsi deteksi target menggunakan sinyal referensi atau sumber sinyal tertentu termasuk mengetahui lokasi sumber sinyal serta melakukan tracking.
Perlu dicatat, pelaksanaan demo Radar Pasif Tahun 2020 ini adalah hasil kerja sama antara Balitbang Kemhan dengan PT. LAPI ITB, Bandung.
Setelah sesi paparan dan tanya jawab selesai, dilanjutkan demo Radar Pasif dari tim PT. LAPI ITB yang disaksikan oleh para pejabat dan diakhiri dengan ramah tamah.
Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan tatanan normal baru covid-19, yaitu menjaga jarak dan tetap menggunakan masker.
