JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Eks Menteri Pertahanan, Ryamizard Ryacudu mengaku tidak mempersoalkan pelaksanaan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM) yang jatuh pada tanggal 1 Desember mendatang asalkan tidak membuat keributan.
“Ulang tahun saja tidak apa-apa asal jangan buat ribut saja,” ujar Ryamizard di Gedung Lembaga Ketahanan Nasional, Jakarta, Sabtu (23/11/2019).
Saat ini Polri sedang melakukan pemetaan terhadap wilayah rawan menjelang HUT OPM.
Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah perlu penambahan aparat keamanan dari luar Polda Papua untuk melakukan pengamanan di Bumi Cendrawasih.
Namun, pihak kepolisian sudah melakukan upaya preventif dan berkomunikasi dengan sejumlah masyarakat adat di Papua.
Langkah ini untuk meyakinkan masyarakat setempat bahwa Papua adalah bagian dari Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
