Peristiwa memalukan dan menampar dunia pariwisata Bali tersebut terjadi, Kamis 15 Desember 2022 kemarin.
Jembatan pelabuhan yang menghubungkan dermaga dengan poton, tiba-tiba ambruk saat dilintasi puluhan wisatawan yang sebagian besar WNA. Akibatnya sekitar 55 orang nyemplung ke laut. Beruntung tidak ada korban jiwa dalam musibah tersebut.
Padahal jembatan tersebut baru saja selesai dikerjakan oleh pihak rekanan dan masih tahap pemeliharaan. Diketahui proyek jembatan tersebut merupakan proyek dari Kementerian Perhubungan dengan menelan dana Rp 55 milyar.
Diduga sistem pengawasan saat pengerjaan proyek tersebut yang kurang baik, sehingga proyek tersebut dikerjakan asal jadi, sehingga ambruk saat dilintasi sekitar 55 orang.
Diketahui, Pelabuhan Banjar Nyuh, Nusa Penida, Klungkung tersebut, di bawah pengelola Pelayanan Pelabuhan UPP Nusa Penida.
Terkait peristiwa tersebut, Bupati Klungkung I Nyoman Suwitra yang dikonfirmasi wartawan mengatakan, ambruknya jembatan tersebut diduga karena kelebihan beban.
Pihaknya mengaku sempat menelpon UPP Nusa Penida, dijelaskan karena over kapasitas. Dimana seharusnya 55 orang di atas jembatan bergerak, namun mereka diam sehingga kelebihan beban dan menjadi ambruk.
“Kita sudah meminta UPT untuk segera menanganinya. Apalagi jembatan tersebut dalam masa pemeliharaan,” tutupnya.(dwp)
