MEDAN – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Wali Kota Medan, Akhyar Nasution, M.Si mengharapkan mutu pendidikan di Kota Medan harus terus ditingkatkan. Pernyataan itu diungkapkan Akhyar Nasution saat meresmikan gedung ruang kelas baru UPT SMP Negeri 26 Medan.
Akhyar Nasution mengatakan bahwa mutu pendidikan anak-anak di Kota Medan harus ditingkatkan. Kreativitas dan imajinasi anak harus dijembatani pengelola pendidikan untuk perkembangan anak. Karena anak-anak dengan imajinasi dan kreativitasnya adalah bagian dari pertumbuhan dari setiap generasi.
“Karena itu, kita jangan membunuh imajinasi dan kreativitas anak. Itu penting. Orang-orang yang maju biasanya yang berkembang dari imajinasi dan kreativitas yang baik. Kita harus mendukung dan menjembataninya,” katanya.
Akhyar Nasution menambahkan bahwa ruang kelas yang baik dan mumpuni sebagai ruangan tempat belajar mengajar. SMP Negeri 26 yang menerima bangunan baru harus menggunakannya dengan baik serta dapat menjadi motivasi kepada peserta didik untuk lebih giat belajar.
Pemko Medan menaruh perhatian terhadap perkembangan pendidikan di Kota ini. Berbagai upaya pun terus dilakukan guna dapat menunjang pengembangan pendidikan yang ada di Kota Medan. Dengan ruang kelas baru, semakin banyak menampung warga sicanang yang ingin bersekolah.
Kepala UPT SMP Negeri 26 Medan, Mangara Tua Panjaitan,S.P.d mengatakan bahwa pihaknya sangat bersyukur atas pembangunan ruang belajar baru. Ruangan tersebut merupakan salah satu kebutuhan dalam memberikan pendidikan bagi anak-anak di kawasan Sicanang.
Mangara Tua Panjaitan mengatakan bahwa pihaknya mengucapkan rasa syukur yang sangat besar atas perhatian Pemko Medan terhadap kebutuhan pendidikan. Hal itu terlihat dari banyaknya dukungan yang diberikan oleh pihak Pemko dalam membenahi kebutuhan pendidikan di Sicanang.
“Saat ini ada beberapa kelas baru yang kita miliki. Ini nantinya akan mampu menampung siswa -siswi yang akan belajar disini. Selain ruangan kelas baru, mobilernya jua sudah diberikan kita tinggal menggunakannya,” jelasnya.
