JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Penyidik KPK Novel Baswedan mengklaim jika sejak awal sudah mengetahui bahwa pelaku penyerangan air keras kepada dirinya merupakan anggota kepolisian.
Sebelumnya, Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo mengatakan dua pelaku yang sudah ditetapkan menjadi tersangka teror air keras kepada Novel Baswedan merupakan anggota Polri aktif.
“Dari awal saya tahu, cuma saya yakin ndak mungkin kalau itu masalah pribadi, ndak mungkin itu terkait dendam pribadi. Tapi lebih lanjut penyidik polri yang baru mulai nangkap jangan dikomentari dulu, kasihan dia,” kata Novel saat di kediamannya Jalan Deposito, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara, Sabtu (28/12/2019).
Namun demikian, ia menghargai dan menghormati upaya Polri dan Polda Metro Jaya dalam mengungkap dan menangkap pelaku teror kepada dirinya. Tetapi Novel berharap, Polri bisa objektif dalam menangani perkara ini.
“Saya tentunya menghormati proses dari Bareskrim, yang dilakukan oleh Polda Metro, tapi saya berharap berdasarkan fakta, dengan dasar-dasar objektivitas, jangan kemudian nanti cerita yang lain,” ujar dia.
