Hingga kini, Bobby masih terus menjalin dan membangun komunikasi politik dengan sejumlah partai politik di kota Medan.
Bobby sendiri telah mengambil dan mengembalikan formulir calon walikota Medan. Seperti di NasDem, Golkar, PDIP. Dan segera menyusul partai Hanura.
“Berapa persen partai dirangkul, pasti melihat apa yang kita usung nantinya. Maksud visi dan misi kita kandidat itu benar untuk membangun kota Medan”. tutur Bobby kepada wartawan di sela-sela nonton bareng final sepakbola SEA Games antara Indonesia dengan Vietnam di warkop Jurnalis jl. H Agus Salim Medan, Selasa (10/12) malam.
Ditanya soal calon pendampingnya, dirinya belum menentukannya. Terpenting saat ini, sebut Bobby, dirinya utamakan membangun komunikasi dengan pimpinan partai.Suami Kahiyang Ayu itu optimis partai tersebut akan menyokong dirinya pada pertarungan pilkada serentak kota Medan 2020 mendatang. ” Berapa persen partai mendukung kita lihat saja”, pungkas Bobby.
