Hakim mengatakan bahwa Sofyan Basir tidak terbukti secara sah dan meyakinkan menjadi perantara suap dari pengusaha Johannes B Kotjo kepada eks anggota Komisi VII DPR, Eni Maulani Saragih dan mantan Menteri Sosial, Idrus Marham.
“Mengadili menyatakan terdakwa Sofyan Basir tidak terbukti secara sah dan meyakinkan sebagaimana dakwaan pertama dan kedua,” kata hakim ketua Hariono saat membacakan amar putusan dalam sidang di Pengadilan Tipikor Jakarta, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Jakarta Pusat, Senin (04/11/2019).
Sofyan dinyatakan tidak terbukti melanggar Pasal 12 huruf a juncto Pasal 15 Undang-Undang (UU) Pemberantasan Tipikor juncto Pasal 56 Ke-2 KUHP dan Pasal 11 juncto Pasal 15 UU Pemberantasan Tipikor juncto Pasal 56 ke-2 KUHP.
Hakim membebaskan Sofyan Basir dari semua tuntutan jaksa Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK).
