Tiba di Gedung Parlemen, Presiden Jokowi Gelar Pertemuan Dengan PM Australia

Mancanegara, BERITATERKINI.CO.ID | Mengawali kegiatan di hari ketiga kunjungan kenegaraan di Australia, Presiden Joko Widodo menyambangi Gedung Parlemen, Canberra, Australia, pada Senin, 10 Februari 2020. Presiden bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri (PM) Australia Scott Morrison.

Sebelum menggelar pertemuan bilateral, kedua pemimpin menggelar pertemuan tête-à-tête yang digelar di Prime Minister’s Suite. Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Presiden Jokowi dan PM Morrison membahas berbagai hal.

Adapun dalam pertemuan bilateral yang digelar dalam kerangka Indonesia-Australia Annual Leader’s Meeting (ALM), Presiden Jokowi menyampaikan duka cita dan simpati kepada korban, keluarga korban, dan pemerintah Australia atas bencana kebakaran hutan yang melanda Australia.

“Kedatangan saya ke Australia kali ini sekaligus untuk menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia akan selalu bersama masyarakat Australia, baik dalam suka maupun duka. _A friend in need is a friend indeed_,” kata Presiden.

Presiden menyebut bahwa kunjungannya kali ini juga menjadi momen khusus karena bertepatan dengan peringatan 70 tahun hubungan diplomatik Indonesia-Australia. Dalam rentang waktu tersebut, kata Presiden, banyak hal yang telah dicapai oleh kedua negara.

“Namun kita harus terus bekerja keras untuk hubungan yang lebih kokoh ke depan,” imbuhnya.

Presiden menuturkan, untuk memperkuat kerja sama tersebut dibutuhkan fondasi yang lebih kuat dengan saling percaya dan saling menghormati. Oleh karena itu, Presiden Jokowi mengajak Australia untuk menumbuhkan rasa saling percaya dan saling menghormati sebagai modal besar bagi hubungan kedua negara yang kokoh.

“Saya kira sudah banyak masalah yang saya sampaikan tadi malam dan dalam pertemuan tête-à-tête tadi banyak menyelesaikan masalah di antara kita, terutama yang berkaitan dengan perdagangan, investasi, dan pariwisata,” tandasnya.

Selepas pertemuan bilateral, Presiden Jokowi dan PM Morrison menyaksikan penandatanganan dua nota kesepahaman _(Memorandum of Understanding/MoU)_, yaitu Plan of Action of Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership yang ditandatangani oleh Menlu RI dan Menlu Australia, dan MoU concerning Transportation Security Cooperation yang ditandatangani oleh Menhub RI dan Menhub Australia.

Turut mendampingi Presiden dalam pertemuan bilateral tersebut yaitu, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan Mahfud Md., Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto, Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi, Menteri Perhubungan Budi Karya Sumadi, Menteri Perdagangan Agus Suparmanto, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Moeldoko, dan Kepala Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal Bahlil Lahadalia.

Selain itu, turut pula Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Australia Yohanes Legowo, Staf Khusus Presiden Ari Dwipayana, Dirjen Asia Pasifik dan Afrika Kemlu Desra Percaya, dan Dirjen Perundingan Perdagangan Internasional Kemendag Iman Pambagyo. /Brt
