MEDAN – BERITA TERKINI. co.id – Ikatan Keluarga Alumi – Universitas Sumatera Utara (IKA-USU) Komisariat daerah Sumatera Utara (Komda Sumut) menyerahkan bantuan kepada masyarakat sekitar USU yang terkena dampak kebijakan pencegahan wabah Covid-19.
Bantuan berupa paket masker, hand sanitizer dan sejumlah uang tunai dibagikan kepada ratusan penarik becak, pengemudi ojek online (ojol) dan warga kurang mampu (dhuafa) yang mangkal dan bermukim disekitar kampus USU di Medan.
Pembagian santunan tersebut dilakukan Ketua Umum IKA USU Komda Sumut, Dr Ir HT Erry Nuradi, MSi di halaman sekretariat IKA USU Jalan Dr Mansyur Medan, Jumat (3/4) sore.
Turut hadir mendampingi Ketua Umum IKA USU Komda Sumut yakni Sekretaris Umum Drs Agustama, MKes, Apt, Wakil Sekretaris Umum Drs Ansari A Tarigan, MSi, Wakil Bendaraha Liesda H Lubis, SSos dan beberapa pengurus lainnya diantaranya Drg Sumihar Artha Julietti, Amelia Zuliyanti Siregar, MSc, PhD, Imam Bagus Soemantri, SSi, MSi, Apt, Annur Rajana Pator Siregar, SS, Mimi Anggraeni.
Pembagian bantuan tersebut dilakukan dengan sistem protokol physical distancing seperti menjaga jarak, tidak bersentuhan/bersalaman, menggunakan sarung tangan dan masker.
‘’Alhamdulillah, warga kurang mampu seperti penarik becak dan pengemudi ojol yang sering mangkal di sekitar kampus USU diberikan bantuan. Mudah-mudahan bermanfaat untuk membeli kebutuhan sehari-hari,’’ ucap Erry.
Erry mengatakan, wabah Covid-19 yang masih belum reda dan diperkirakan puncaknya pada, April, Mei dan Juni tahun ini menyebabkan sebagian masyarakat kesulitan dalam mencari rezeki. ‘’Ini tidak seberapa, mudah-mudahan bermanfaat,’’ tandas Erry seraya mengajak masyarakat yang mampu lainnya dapat melakukan hal serupa untuk membantu warga yang kesulitan ekonomi akibat Covid-19 ini.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Erry berharap, masyarakat senantiasa menjaga kebersihan dan mengikuti anjuran pemerintah menghadapi virus corona ini. ‘’Kita harus selalu waspada. Protokol physical distancing seperti jaga jarak, tidak bersalaman atau bersentuhan, pakai masker berdiam diri dirumah jika tidak ada keperluan yang penting ,berolahraga, minum Vit C, mendapat sinar matahari dan minum air hangat harus dilakukan, ujarnya.
Sebelumnya, Sekretaris Umum IKA USU Komda Sumut Drs Agustama, MKes, Apt didampingi Wakil Sekretaris Umum Drs Ansari A Tarigan, MSi mengatakan, pembagian santunan berupa masker, hand sanitier dan uang tunai ini dilakukan dengan sistem kupon.
‘’Saat ini kita fokus kepada pengemudi ojol, penarik becak dan sebagian warga kurang mampu disekitar kampus USU. Kami juga mohon maaf jika masyarakat lainnya yang membutuhkan belum dapat. Mudah-mudahan ke depan, IKA Sumut dapat berbuat hal serupa guna menjangkau lebih banyak masyarakat yang membutuhkan,’’ ucap Agustama juga
