Bupati Sergai Ir H Soekirman Apresiasi Kesetiaan Udin Sirip pada Laut dan Masyarakat Pesisir

Soekirman datang bersama Dandim 0204/DS Letkol Inf Syamsul Arifin dan Camat Teluk Mengkudu Romian Siagian. Kedatangan orang nomor satu di Pemkab Sergai itu disambut hangat tokoh masyarakat pesisir dan tokoh nelayan setempat, Syafaruddin YS atau yang akrab dipanggil Udin Sirip.

Soekirman mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Udin Sirip atas penyambutan yang hangat dan akrab. Selain mengobrol, Soekirman juga diajak oleh Udin Sirip berbincang dengan nelayan serta melihat langsung hasil tangkapan mereka dengan beragam hasil laut.

Bupati yang dikenal dekat dengan masyarakat kecil itu juga berbincang dengan nelayan terkait dampak pandemi Covid-19 bagi mereka.

Di hadapan para nelayan, Soekirman mengapresiasi kesetiaan Udin Sirip kepada laut dan nelayan. Meski banyak berkiprah di beberapa organisasi kemasyarakatan, pernah menjadi Anggota DPRD Sergai selama dua periode, dan hingga kini masih menjabat sebagai pimpinan salah satu partai politik, namun perhatian dan kesetiaannya kepada nelayan dan laut tidak pernah ditinggalkan hingga sekarang.

Selama ini kata Soekirman, Udin Sirip membantu nelayan menampung hasil tangkapan serta bentuk-bentuk perhatian lainnya. Dengan demikian para nelayan disini sangat terbantu dan dimudahkan.

“Sosok Pak Udin Sirip memberikan contoh bagaimana membangun dan menjaga kesetiaan. Beliau sangat setia pada laut dan nelayan. Dengan bentuk-bentuk kesetiaan seperti ini wajarlah kita dukung agar kabupaten kita ini menjadi kabupaten yang beradab, kabupaten yang bersahabat, dan kabupaten yang setia saling membagi satu sama lain,” ungkap Soekirman.

Kepada para nelayan, Soekirman meminta agar mematuhi himbauan pemerintah dalam menjaga jarak, memakai masker, mencuci tangan serta menghindari kerumunan guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19.

Di tempat yang sama, Udin Sirip mengaku tersanjung dan terhormat atas kunjungan Bupati Soekirman dalam rangka melihat kehidupan masyarakat nelayan ditengah pandemi Covid-19.

“Kunjungan ini tentunya menunjukkan negara hadir ditengah-tengah masyarakat terutama di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang ada saat ini, sebab hampir seluruh lapisan masyarakat terdampak ekonomi akibat Corona ini,” katanya.

Menanggapi sanjungan Soekirman, salah satu pentolan pemenangan Soekirman di Pilkada 2015 lalu itu mengaku, bahwa profesinya di lingkungan laut sudah digelutinya sejak masih kecil. Oleh karena itu dia merasa kesetiaan merupakan sebuah keniscayaan.

“Saya cukup bahagia, saya tidak dapat dipisahkan lagi dengan laut dan kehidupan masyarakat nelayan,” tutup Udin Sirip.
