Calon-calon yang terbukti melakukan pelanggaran hendaknya ditindak tegas. “Entah itu bagi-bagi sembako, money politic (politik uang), pemasangan alat peraga yang tidak sesuai, atau tindakan apapun yang dianggap melanggar, saya harap ditindak tegas,” ungkap Dang Ike, Sabtu (20/6/2020).
Menurutnya, sebagai alat kontrol, peran Panwaslu dan Bawaslu sangat penting dalam menciptakan Pilkada yang bersih, jujur dan adil. Ia percaya, baik Panwaslu maupun Bawaslu akan bekerja secara profesional sesuai dengan tupoksinya.
“Sejauh ini sudah bagus, saya apresiasi. Saya berharap ditingkatkan lebih baik lagi. Pengawasan ditingkatkan, jangan sampai kelabasan. Saya percaya peran Panwaslu dan Bawaslu sangat mempengaruhi kualitas hasil Pilkada di suatu daerah,” imbuhnya.
Ia juga menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar tidak salah memilih pemimpin. Masyarakat harus cerdas dalam menentukan pilihan, karena pilihan masyarakat akan membawa dampak pada kemajuan daerah yang dipilihnya.
“Pilih pemimpin yang baik, yang punya visi, punya kedekatan dengan masyarakat dan sudah terbukti kinerjanya. Jangan pilih pemimpin hanya karena sembakonya atau karena amplopnya. Kita memilih pemimpin untuk lima tahun kedepan, jadi jangan sampai salah pilih,” pungkas mantan Kapolda Lampung ini. /Redaksi
