MATARAM, WWW.BERITATERKINI.CO.ID, Pasangan Calon Walikota dan Calon Wakil Walikota Mataram, Hj Putu Selly Andayani dan H Abdul Manan (Selly-Manan) akan melibatkan para penyandang disabilitas dalam tim pemenangannya di Pilkada Kota Mataram tahun ini.
Keterlibatan partisipatif para difabel ini, bukan sekadar menempatkan penyandang disabilitas dalam posisi yang sama dengan masyarakat lainnya, tetapi juga sebagai bagian kepedulian Selly-Manan terhadap para difabel di Kota Mataram.
“Saudara kita yang memiliki kelebihan khusus atau difabel ini juga punya potensi yang sama. Kami akan libatkan mereka sebagai motor penggerak Selly-Manan untuk Mataram,” kata Hj Putu Selly Andayani , Kamis ( 30/7 )
Mengangkat jargon Mataram Cemerlang dalam Pilkada tahun ini, Selly-Manan memang ingin membuktikan bahwa Kota Mataram bisa menjadi kota maju yang juga ramah disabilitas. Aspek pembangunan perkotaan nantinya akan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan para penyandang disabilitas. Sebab bagaimana pun mereka juga merupakan warga Kota Mataram yang berhak mendapatkan pelayanan yang sama dan setara dengan yang lain.
Menurut Selly, pelibatan disabilitas dalam tim pemenangan dilakukan untuk menunjukan kesetaraan mereka dengan komponen tim lainnya.
“Mereka punya ide dan gagasan. Kritik dan saran mereka juga harus kita akomodir sebagai warga Kota Mataram yang sama,” timbuh Selly.
Hj. Putu Selly Andayani yang juga tokoh pembina disabilitas di NTB ini mengatakan, sejatinya para penyandang disabilitas ini memiliki potensi masing-masing. Mereka sama sekali tidak butuh dikasihani, tetapi lebih butuh mendapat perlakukan yang sama dan setara dengan masyarakat lainnya.
“Saudara kita ini tidak ingin sekedar dikasihani tapi mereka perlu diperlakukan sama dan diberi tanggungjawab sesuai proporsinya. Selly-Manan berkomitmen untuk mengajak kaum difabel duduk sama rendah dan berdiri sama tinggi dengan yang lain,” ujarnya.
Selly mengatakan, selama ini pemerintah sudah cukup banyak menerbitkan regulasi tentang perlindungan terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Konsep pembangunan ramah disabilitas juga sudah seringkali digaungkan di tingkat nasional dan daerah.
Hanya saja, dalam implementasinya semua itu belum bisa terealisasi secara optimal. Masih banyak fasilitas umum dan fasilitas publik yang belum memperhatikan kebutuhan disabilitas. Stigmatisasi terhadap kaum difabel sebagai kelompok yang lemah dan terkadang dikucilkan dan dikasihani masih sering terjadi.
Kesempatan untuk mereka dapat bekerja dan berkarya di sejumlah sektor pembangunan juga masih terbatas
“Dengan melibatkan mereka secara partisipatif, Selly-Manan ingin mengubah stigma dan sterotype (cara pandang) yang salah tentang kaum difabel ini. Mereka juga bisa Cemerlang dan terlibat aktif dalam pembangunan Kota ini,” tuturnya.
Sementara itu Ketua DPD Perhimpunan Tuna Netra Indonesia (Pertuni) Provinsi NTB, Fitri Nugraha Ningrum menyambut baik dan mengapresiasi langkah Selly-Manan yang ingin melibatkan penyandang disabilitas sebagai tim pemenangan di Pilkada Kota Mataram.
“Ya kita bangga kalau memang teman-teman disabilitas dilibatkan. Ini sebuah penghargaan saya rasa untuk teman-teman,” katanya.
Menurut Fitri, sosok Selly Andayani sudah lama dikenal sebagai figur yang peduli dan punya empati yang tinggi kepada masyarakat bawah, termasuk para penyandang disabilitas.
Selly juga pernah menggelar acara khusus memperingati HUT Pertuni tahun lalu, dan menghadirkan Gubernur NTB Dr H Zulkieflimansyah.
“Pak Gubernur saat ini juga sangat memperhatikan disabiitas dan memberi ruang yang cukup. Sehingga jika di Kota Mataram juga demikian akan lebih bagus lagi,” urainya.
Berdasarkan data Dinas Sosial NTB setidaknya di Provinsi NTB tercatat sebanyak 17.178 orang penyadang disabilitas. Sebagian besar berada di pulau Lombok, dan Kota Mataram khususnya.
Fitri mengungkapkan, seharusnya konsep pembangunan ke depan juga melibatkan para penyandang disabilitas sejak perencanaan hingga realisasinya.
