JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Sekjen Partai Demokrat, Hinca Panjaitan mengatakan bahwa Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) menolak wacana penambahan masa jabatan Presiden menjadi tiga periode.
“Tadi pengarahan paling keras supaya seluruh DPD dan DPC sampaikan ke bawah, sejumlah sikap Demokrat,” kata Hinca di JCC Jakarta, Rabu (11/12/2019) malam.
Menurut Hinca, masa jabatan Presiden cukup dua periode saja.
“Pak SBY menyampaikan enough is enough, cukup dua periode karena kita punya pengalaman sejarah jaman sebelumnya,” tegasnya.
Melanjutkan sikap SBY, Hinca menegaskan jika masa jabatan Presiden selama dua periode merupakan produk reformasi.
“Seandainya ada yang mengatakan nanti Pak SBY boleh maju lagi, kami katakan tidak. Kalau tidak ya dari kemarin saja. Jadi kami tidak tergoda untuk jabatan presiden tiga periode, cukup dua periode,” pungkasnya.
Diketahui, Presiden Jokowi menyatakan tidak setuju apabila amandemen UUD 1945 sampai menyentuh ke jabatan kepala negara sampai tiga periode. Ataupun kepala negara dipilih oleh MPR. Maka dengan tegas, Jokowi mengatakan sebaiknya tidak usah dilakukan amandemen.
“Presiden dipilih MPR, presiden tiga periode, presiden satu kali delapan tahun. Seperti yang saya sampaikan. Jadi, lebih baik tidak usah amendemen,” katanya.
Bahkan Jokowi ‘blak-blakan’ mengenai usulan jabatan kepala negara. Menurut Jokowi usulan tersebut seperti menampar dirinya. Bahkan dia menduga ada yang ingin cari perhatian dengan mengusulkan jabatan kepala negara tiga periode.
”Jadi ada yang ngomong presiden dipilih tiga periode. Itu ingin menampar muka saya, ingin cari muka. Itu juga ingin menjerumuskan,” tegasnya.
Sekadar informasi, Fraksi Partai Nasdem yang mengusulkan penambahan jabatan Presiden Indonesia menjadi tiga periode. Padahal saat ini hanya dibatasi dua periode.
