Taruna Akademi Angkat Laut (AAL) Tingkat lll Angkatan ke-67 diingatkan pentingnya Safety Brief dalam Pelayaran Kartika Jala Krida tahun 2020 yang hari ini memasuki hari ke-4 dalam pelayaran rute pertamanya menuju Lampung.
Hal tersebut dikatakan Perwira Pelaksana Latihan (Palaklat) KJK 2020, Mayor Laut (P) Aris Dianto, M. Han saat memberikan pengarahan kepada Taruna AAL peserta KJK 2020 di atas geladak KRI Bima Suci, Selasa (29/9).
Menurut Aris -sapaan akrab Palaklat KJK 2020 ini- keberhasilan pelayaran Kartika Jala Krida tidak terlepas dari kesiapsiagaan ABK dan para Taruna dalam menghadapi bahaya dalam pelayaran.
“Untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan para Taruna, maka kita tunjukkan dan dikenalkan alat-alat keselamatan, dan cara penggunaanya dipandu para perwira KRI Bima Suci,” terangnya.
Disela pelayaran ini, Taruna diberi pembekalan tentang Safety Brief diantaranya adalah swimfest sebagai alat keselamatan perorangan yang harus dikenakan para Taruna selama melaksanakan pelayaran.
Kemudian Life Buoy adalah alat pelampung berfungsi untuk keselamatan perorangan, selain itu ada juga life craft adalah sekoci karet yang berfungsi sebagai alat keselamatan yang bisa digunakan 20 orang dan didalamnya terdapat cadangan makanan.
Selanjutnya Rescue boat, fungsi benda ini adalah untuk melakukan keselamatan apabila ada orang terjatuh di laut, kemudian flare adalah tembakan cahaya ke udara untuk meminta pertolongan.
Dalam kesempatan itu juga disimulasikan para Taruna yang ditempatkan dalam beberapa life craft dan titik kumpul apabila terjadi bahaya di laut, sehingga Taruna dapat melakukan keselamatan secara mandiri dan memberikan pertolongan pertama apabila terjadi kecelakaan di laut. (Red/Aj)
