INTAN JAYA, WWW.BEEITATERKINI.CO.ID- Seorang prajurit TNI dari Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Yonif R 400/BR, Pratu Firdaus gugur setelah terlibat kontak senjata dengan Kelompok Kriminal Separatis Bersenjata ( KKSB) di Distrik Sugapa, Intan Jaya, Papua, Jumat (6/11/2020) siang waktu setempat.
“Dua prajurit TNI ditembak, satu di antaranya gugur, atas nama Pratu Firdaus,” ujar Kepala Penerangan (Kapen) Komando Gabungan Wilayah Pertahanan III (Kogabwilhan III), Kolonel Czi IGN Suriastawa.
Suriastawa menjelaskan, Pratu Firdaus tewas setelah ditembak KKB saat sedang patroli di Distrik Sugapa.
Patroli tersebut dilakukan guna memberikan jaminan keamanan kepada masyarakat.
“Kejadian ini menambah daftar korban jiwa di Intan Jaya,” kata Suriastawa.
Diketahui, kontak senjata di Intan Jaya sebelumnya terjadi pada pertengahan September 2020. Selama 14 -19 September 2020, sebanyak enam orang menjadi korban jiwa.
Keenam korban itu adalah Laode Anas, Fatur Rahman, dan Badawi. Ketiganya merupakan warga sipil.
Korban berikutnya adalah dua prajurit TNI yakni Serka Sahlan, Pratu Dwi Akbar Utomo, dan seorang Pendeta Yeremia Zanambani.
