HUT ke-74 Megawati, PDI Perjuangan Sumut Beri Kado Istimewa Tanam 74.000 Pohon Secara Serentak
MEDAN – BERITATERKINI.CO.ID – Seluruh kader PDI Perjuangan Sumatera Utara serentak menanam 74.000 berbagai bibit pohon yang tersebar di 33 kabupaten/kota Se-Sumut pada Sabtu (23/01/2021) yang lansung dipimpin oleh Ketua DPD PDI Perjuangan Sumut H. Djarot Saiful Hidayat
Kegiatan penanaman 74.000 bibit pohon ini sebagai rangkaian peringatan HUT ke 48 PDI Perjuangan sekaligus memberikan kado istimewa kepada Ketua Umum PDI Perjuangan Ibu Hj. Megawati Soekarnoputri yang berulang tahun ke 74.
“Hari ini seluruh kader PDI Perjuangan Se Sumut serentak menanam kurang lebih 74.000 bibit pohon yang tersebar di 33 Kbupaten/kota sebagai hadiah istimewa untuk HUT ke 48 PDI Perjuangan dan sekaligus kado istimewa dari kader-kader PDI Perjuangan Se Sumut untuk Ketua Umum PDI Perjuangan Ibu Hj. Megawati Soekarnoputri yang pada hari ini berulang tahun yang ke 74” ujar Djarot sesaat secara simbolis menanam bibit pohon dibantaran Sungai Wampu Langkat
Selanjutnya, Djarot Saiful Hidayat yang juga Ketua DPP PDI Perjuangan ini menyatakan bahwa ribuan bibit pohon tersebut dikonsentrasikan ditanam disepanjang bantaran sungai yang ada di Sumatera Utara, kendatipun demikian ada juga bibit Mangrove yang ditanam di pinggiran pantai
Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa sungai-sungai di Sumut telah mengalami kerusakan yang sangat parah mulai dari hulu sampai hilirnya. Dihulu sungai, terjadi banyak perambahan hutan sehingga serapan air hujan tidak lagi mampu ditampung sehingga berakibat banjir yang menjadi bencana bagi rakyat yang tinggal disepanjang aliran sungai
Sementara itu, pencemaran akibat pembuangan limbah yang sembarangan, tumpukan sampah dan lain sebagainya berakibat kemanfaatan sungai-sungai menjadi sangat berkurang dan bahkan sungai telah menjadi bencana bagi umat manusia
“PDI Perjuangan berkomitmen untuk mengembalikan sungai sebagai sumber perdaban melalui Gerakan penanam pohon dibantaran sungai, sungai dan pohon merupakan sumber-sumber kehidupan bagi umat manusia, karena itu perlu diselamatkan” ungkap Djarot
Penanaman ribuan bibit pohon ini sebagai upaya dari PDI Perjuangan untuk menyelamatkan lingkungan dan alam Indonesia yang telah banyak dirusak oleh oknum-oknum yang tak bertanggungjawab.
“Pesan saya kepada kader PDI Perjuangan dan seluruh masyarakat untuk terus menanam pohon dan selanjutnyua merawatnya sehingga ia tumbuh besar, agar dapat dinikmati oleh anak cucu kita, ingat, pohon adalah sumber kehidupan dan sungai jalan peradaban umat manusia” pungkas Djarot.
