Beritaterkini.co.id. Komisi Pemilihan Umum Republik Indonesia (KPU RI) secara resmi diluncurkan pada Pemilu 2024. Adapun, peluncuran tersebut dilakukan pada Selasa (14/5/2022) malam di Jakarta.
“Pada malam ini, Selasa 14 Juni 2022, kalau dihitung dari hari pemungutan suara, hari ini tepat 20 bulan sebelum hari pemungutan suara. Dan menurut konstitusi dan mandat undang-undang mengamanatkan dimulainya tahapan Pemilu 2024,” kata Ketua KPU RI Hasyim Asyari saat peluncuran tahapan Pemilu tersebut.
KPU, lanjut Hasyim Asyari, tidak bisa bekerja sendiri, dan meminta dukungan, DPR, partai politik dan pemerintah bahwa pimpinan bangsa Indonesia, serta seluruh rakyat Indonesia.
Perlu diketahui, Pemilu 2024 sesuai dengan aturan undang-undang yang dimulai sejak 20 bulan dari hari pencoblosan Pemilu 2024 pada tanggal 14 Februari, artinya, tahapan awal dari pemilu mulai 14 Juni 2022.
Kemudian, peluncuran tahapan Ketua Pemilu 2024 dilakukan secara simbolis dengan ditandai menekan sirine oleh seluruh anggota KPU RI, Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani, Mendagri Tito Karnavian, Wakil Ketua DPD RI Nono Sampono, DKPP Muhammad, dan sejumlah tokoh penting lainnya.
Peluncuran tahapan Pemilu 2024 juga disaksikan oleh seluruh anggota KPU Provinsi seluruh Indonesia, kabupaten kota, serta pimpinan partai politik calon peserta pemilu.
Dalam peluncuran tersebut, Menteri Dalam Negeri Muhammad Tito Karnavian yang mewakili Presiden Joko Widodo, dalam sambutannya menambahkan, bahwa persiapan dan penyelenggara tahapan pemilu merupakan hasil kerja bersama.
“Setelah melaksanakan beberapa kali rapat dan konsinyering, akhirnya tercapai kesepakatan. Hasil rapat-rapat dan konsinyering itu menyepakati tahapan pemilu,” kata Tito Karnavian.
Lanjut, kata Tito, pemerintah mendukung penuh penyelenggaraan Pemilu 2024 dan Pilkada yang tahapannya mulai 14 Juni 2022.(red/kur)
