Tingkatkan Potensi Diri WBP, Lapas Kerobokan Gelar Berbagai Program Keterampilan

Mengingat, Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia menjunjung tinggi hukum dan memberikan rasa keadilan bagi seluruh masyarakat terutama yang membutuhkan perlindungan hukum dan dijamin oleh Negara.

Kepala Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Kalapas) Kelas II A Kerobokan Fikri Jaya Soebing mengatakan, asas persamaan kedudukan ini sangat penting ditegakkan, terutama dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Bahkan, pelaksanaan pidana penjara dengan Sistem Pemasyarakatan di Indonesia saat ini mengacu kepada Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2022 tentang Sistem Pemasyarakatan.

Menurutnya, Sistem Pemasyarakatan melalui pembimbingan Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) dibagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu pembinaan kepribadian dan kemandirian.

Oleh karena itu, disebutkan Lapas Kelas IIA Kerobokan melakukan kegiatan pembinaan kepribadian, yang terbagi kedalam beberapa ruang lingkup, diantaranya pembinaan kesadaran beragama/kerohanian, pembinaan kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara, pembinaan kemampuan Intelektual, pembinaan kesadaran hukum hingga pembinaan mengintegrasikan diri dengan masyarakat.

Sementara, lanjutnya, kegiatan pembinaan kemandirian dilakukan melalui berbagai program, diantaranya keterampilan diri meliputi menjahit, memasak dan melukis. Kemudian keterampilan untuk mendukung usaha industri meliputi pertukangan kayu dan las listrik, laundry pakaian, konveksi, kerajinan perak serta produksi penyablonan baju.

“Selain kegiatan tersebut, kami dari Lapas Kerobokan juga bekerjasama dengan pihak ketiga dalam melakukan kegiatan Rehabilitasi bagi para WBP kasus Narkoba,” terangnya.

Oleh karena itu, Kalapas Fikri berharap, dengan adanya berbagai kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan bernilai positif, dapat mewujudkan cita-cita sistem pemasyarakatan yakni membentuk WBP menjadi manusia seutuhnya, menyadari kesalahan, memperbaiki diri dan tidak mengulangi tindak pidana lagi.

“Dengan berbagai kegiatan bernilai positif, kami harapkan WBP dapat diterima kembali oleh lingkungan masyarakat, dapat aktif berperan dalam pembangunan dan dapat hidup secara wajar sebagai warga negara yang baik dan bertanggung jawab,” pungkasnya. (Surya).
