YBH SSB Mendalami Dugaan Penyerobotan Lahan di Banyuasin

BANYUASIN, BERITATERKINI.co.Id – Yayasan Bantuan Hukum Sumatera Selatan Berkeadilan (YBH SSB) telah memberikan respons yang tegas terhadap dugaan serius penyerobotan lahan yang dilaporkan oleh sejumlah warga Desa Terusan Muara, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan.

Dalam upaya menegakkan keadilan, YBH SSB telah mengirimkan tim investigasi ke lapangan pada Minggu lalu (05/05/24) untuk mengumpulkan bukti-bukti terkait kasus ini.

Koordinator Tim YBH SSB, Dedy Irawan, SH, menyatakan dalam konferensi pers pada Selasa (07/05/24) bahwa investigasi mereka menunjukkan adanya dugaan serius terhadap kepala desa setempat, yang diduga telah memanfaatkan kekuasaannya untuk menyerobot lahan milik warga dengan melibatkan alat berat.

“Kami telah menemukan bukti-bukti yang cukup menguatkan bahwa sebagian lahan warga di Desa Terusan Muara telah diserobot oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab, diduga atas perintah langsung kepala desa,” ungkap Dedy.

Menurut laporan dari beberapa warga, kejadian ini tidak terjadi sekali ini saja. Pada tahun sebelumnya, kepala desa tersebut juga diduga telah menggunakan alat berat tanpa memberikan penjelasan atau sosialisasi kepada pemilik lahan terkait.

“Tindakan semena-mena ini telah merugikan puluhan warga yang tanaman dan sumber mata pencahariannya dihancurkan tanpa ampun,” tambah Dedy.

YBH SSB tidak tinggal diam menghadapi permasalahan ini. Mereka telah mengirimkan surat somasi kepada kepala desa Terusan Muara untuk memberikan klarifikasi atas dugaan penyerobotan lahan dan merusak tanaman milik warga.

“Kami memberikan batas waktu tertentu bagi kepala desa untuk memberikan penjelasan yang jelas terkait kasus ini. Jika tidak ada respons yang memuaskan, kami akan mengambil langkah-langkah hukum lebih lanjut,” tegas Dedy.

Sementara itu, salah satu warga yang enggan disebutkan namanya mengungkapkan bahwa mereka telah memberikan kuasa penuh kepada YBH SSB untuk menindaklanjuti kasus ini.

“Kami berharap keadilan akan tercapai melalui tindakan tegas YBH SSB dalam menangani kasus ini,” ujarnya.

Hingga saat berita ini disusun, belum ada tanggapan resmi dari pihak kepala desa Terusan Muara. (***)
