Bandar Lampung, Beritaterkini.co.id –Ketua Umum Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Komite Aksi Masyarakat dan Pemuda Untuk Demokrasi (KAMPUD), Seno Aji mendukung dilaksanakannya agenda politik pemilihan umum (Pemilu) pada tahun 2024 mendatang.
Melalui keterangan tertulisnya pada Jumat (11/3/2022), Seno Aji menilai bahwa Pemilu 2024 menjadi syarat legitimasi sebuah Pemerintahan dalam negara Demokrasi seperti yang dianut oleh Indonesia. Selain itu, salah satu amanat reformasi adalah menciptakan sistem Pemerintahan yang demokratis, untuk itu sangat penting menyusun pemerintahan yang konstitusional atau Pemerintahan yang berdasarkan pada konstitusi.
“Pemerintah konstitusional bercirikan bahwa konstitusi negara adanya pembatasan kekuasaan pemerintahan/Eksekutif, dan pembatasan kekuasaan tersebut salah satunya dengan membatasi masa jabatan dan periodesasi presiden dan wakil presiden, adanya jaminan atas hak asasi manusia dan hak-hak warga negara, berdasarkan hal ini, maka telah dilakukan amandemen atas UUD 1945 menjadi konstitusi yang bersifat konstitusional, salah satunya pada pasal 7 dan pasal 22E UUD 1945 menyatakan bahwa Pemilu dilaksanakan setiap 5 tahun sekali dan presiden maupun wakil presiden hanya dapat dipilih kembali untuk satu kali masa jabatan, pemilu diselenggarakan untuk memilih anggota DPR, DPD, Presiden dan Wakil Presiden, serta DPRD, tentunya ini menjadi ciri negara demokrasi yaitu pemilu yang dilakukan secara bebas dan berkala, selain itu amandemen ini menjadi salah satu amanat daripada reformasi”, ungkap Seno Aji.
Sosok aktivis yang karib disapa Seno Aji mengutarakan bahwa amandemen terhadap UUD 1945 yang telah dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali oleh MPR yakni 1999, 2000, 2001 dan 2002 tentunya menjadi pedoman bagi tatanan pemerintahan Negara Indonesia saat ini.
“Pilpres 2024 adalah sebuah proses demokrasi untuk memilih Presiden dan Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia periode 2024–2029. Pemilihan ini akan menjadi pemilihan presiden langsung kelima di Indonesia. Menurut KPU Pilpres 2024 akan digelar secara serentak pada 14 Februari 2024 mendatang, dan agenda Pilpres ini sebagaimana telah diamanatkan dalam UUD 1945, karena penyelenggaraan pemilu sebagai syarat dalam negara demokrasi, pemilu merupakan salah satu sarana kedaulatan rakyat di mana rakyat dapat memilih wakil dan pemimpin untuk menjalankan pemerintahan, oleh karena itu menunda agenda pemilu 2024 tanpa proses amandemen UUD 1945 terlebih dahulu sama halnya dengan menghalangi hak-hak warga negara dalam memilih wakil dan pemimpinnya”, pungkas Seno Aji.
Atas dasar tersebut, Seno Aji menegaskan bahwa pihaknya sangat mendukung dengan digelarnya Pemilihan Presiden pada 2024 mendatang sesuai jadwal yang telah ditetapkan oleh KPU RI dan menghentikan segala wacana untuk menunda agenda Pemilu 2024.
“Tentunya Kita mendukung agenda politik dalam kerangka pemilu 2024 tetap dilaksanakan sesuai jadwal yang telah ditetapkan, kemudian meminta kepada para elit politik untuk tidak berwacana menunda pemilu 2024 dengan alasan apapun, baik alasan anggaran dan alasan musibah wabah pandemi covid-19. Dari segi anggaran menunjukan bahwa dana untuk menggelar pemilu 2024 masih tersedia hal ini terbukti dari pernyataan Menteri Keuangan Ibu Sri Mulyani yang menegaskan bahwa masih memiliki dana pada program Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional (PEN) senilai Rp. 178,3 Triliun, dan tersedianya dana untuk memindahkan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN)”, ulas Seno Aji.
