WWW.BERITATERKINJ.CO.ID- Su-27 memiliki jarak jangkau yang jauh, persenjataan yang berat, dan kelincahan yang tinggi. Su-27 dirancang sebagai pesawat interseptor dan pesawat tempur superioritas udara jarak jauh.

Pesawat Su-27 mempunyai sayap yang dipasang menengah (di bagian tengah badan pesawat) dan berbentuk semidelta dengan ujung kotak.

LERX memanjang di bawah dan depan akar sayap. Terdapat dua mesin di dalam badan pesawat. Terdapat “air intakes” (saluran udara) berbentuk kotak dan “diagonally-cut” (terpotong secara diagonal), terpasang di bawah sayap sepanjang samping bodi pesawat. Bodi pesawat berbentuk segiempat dari saluran udara sampai ekor pesawat.

Hidung meruncing dan terdapat kanopi gelembung. Sirip ekor tertekuk ke belakang, tajam denganujung kotak dan terpasang di luar mesin.

“Flats”-nya dipasang di tengah (mid-mounted), tertekuk ke belakang dan tajam. Mempunyai sistem “airbrakes” yang dipasang di atas bodi pesawat, di belakang kokpit

Fitur penting lainnya adalah penggunaan sistem kontrol jarak jauh (EDC) untuk mengatasi ketidakstabilan statis longitudinal yang kerap dialami pada model pesawat tempur jenis baru. Penerapan inovasi ini memberikan peningkatan yang dramatis pada manuver pesawat saat melakukan pertempuran satu lawan satu dengan pesawat lawan (dogfight).

Pesawat Su-27 dipersenjatai dengan sebuah kanon Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 kaliber 30 mm di pangkal sayapnya, dan mempunyai 10 cantelan senjata untuk tempat rudal dan senjata lainya. Standar persenjataan rudal untuk pertempuran udara ke udara adalah campuran dari rudal Vympel R-73 (AA-11 Archer) dan rudal Vympel R-27 (AA-10 ‘Alamo’). Senjata terakhir mempunyai versi jarak tempuh yang diperjauh dan model kendali inframerah.
