Ada hal menarik dalam rangkaian acara Kampung Siaga Candi di desa Karangtalur Lor, Kecamatan Purwojati pada Jumat (4/08/2020). Salah seorang warga disabilitas mendapatkan bantuan spesial yaitu sepeda motor roda tiga.
Lasum (65 tahun) warga Desa Karangtalur Lor RT 01 RW 02 Kecamatan Purwojati, menerima bantuan sepeda motor roda tiga dari Alumni SMA N 2 Purwokerto angkatan tahun 1983 yang dihimpun Kapolsek Purwojati AKP Gunawan. Sepeda motor roda tiga tersebut diserahkan langsung oleh Kapolresta Banyumas, Kombespol Whisnu Caraka dalam acara Kampung Siaga Candi di desa Karangtalur Lor, Kecamatan Purwojati Kabupaten Banyumas.
Kapolsek Purwojati, AKP Gunawan menjelaskan, ia menemukan Lasum saat melakukan patroli wilayah. Ia menyaksikan seorang disabilitas naik sepeda, ngontel dengan menggunakan tangan. Setelah didekati ternyata dia penyandang disabilitas, kakinya tidak bisa digunakan untuk beraktifitas.
Melihat hal tersebu, AKP Gunawan langsung menghubungi beberapa teman Alumni SMA Negeri 2 Purwokerto khususnya Tahun 1983 untuk patungan membeli sepeda motor.
“Uang yang terkumpul behasil untuk membeli sepeda motor matic second, dan dimodifikasi menjadi roda tiga dengan menghabiskan biaya Rp 10 juta” ungkap AKP Gunawan.
Setelah mendapatkan motor, AKP Gunawan akan mengusahakan agar Lasum mendapatkan SIM dan juga gerobag atau keranjang untuk berjualan, meskipun Lasum hanya beraktifitas diseputar desa saja. Apabila memungkinkan nanti, Kapolsek dan Alumni SMAN 2 Purwokerto akan membantu gerobag atau keranjang di bagian belakang.
“Semoga bantuan ini dapat meningkatkan semangat hidup dan meningkatkan kualitas ekonomi Pak Lasum,” tambahnya.
Lasum, sempat menjajal motor roda tiga yang sudah diserahkan tersebut. Ia juga menceritakan cacat kaki yang di alaminya diakibatkan jatuh dari pohon kelapa saat mengambil nira (nderes) pada tahun 1978 sehingga kakinya lumpuh. Lasum sangat berterima kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah membantunya.
“Saya senang dan bersyukur serta mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Pak Polisi yang telah membantu saya. Setelah mendapatkan sepeda motor ini, saya ingin menggunakan untuk berusaha berdagang semampunya” pungkasnya.(Red/Aj)
