JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra, Fadli Zon mengaku jika dirinya yang mengusulkan agar Prabowo Subanto menjadi Menteri Pertahanan dalam Kabinet Indonesia Maju.
“Ya saya termasuk yang mengusulkan Pak Prabowo untuk menjadi Menhan. Ide saya malah itu pertama. Mengusulkan kalau kami mau koalisi, yang bisa kami perbuat cukup banyak terutama adalah di Kementerian Pertahanan, tentu di samping masalah pangan dan energi,” kata Fadli di Kompleks Parlemen Senayan, Jakarta, Senin (04/11/2019).
Bahkan dirinya sudah menyampaikan hal itu sejak bulan Agustus lalu.
“Dan ide itu yang saya sampaikan kepada Pak Prabowo di awal Agustus lah, kecuali kami berada di luar pemerintahan. Tapi, kalau misalnya kami memang memutuskan sudah ada di dalam pemerintahan itu, salah satu opsi yang sangat penting,” ujar Fadli.
Sebelumnya, Fadli Zon yang kini menjabat sebagai Ketua Badan Kerja Sama Antar-Parlemen buka suara seusai lama tidak menampakan diri ke publik selama sebulan terakhir.
Ia mengaku selama satu bulan mulai dari 1 Oktober hingga 1 November 2019, dirinya memang sengaja tak muncul dan memberi pernyataan lantaran tengah puasa bicara.
“Saya puasa dari 1 Oktober sampai 1 November. Ya kan baru selesai tugas jadi biasalah, puasa dulu sebulan. Cooling down dan juga istirahat dulu, silaturahmi,” kata Fadli.
