MANADO – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Wali Kota Manado 2005-2008, Jimmy Rimba Rogi atau akrab disapa Imba angkat suara soal rencana KPU yang akan melarang eks koruptor untuk maju dalam Pilkada 2020.
Sebelumnya Imba sudah resmi mendaftar ke Partai Golkar untuk maju di Pilkada Manado 2020.
Bahkan Imba sudah melakukan komunikasi dan silaturrahmi dengan Aaltje Dondokambey dan Enda ‘Ungu’ untuk menghadapi pelaksanaan Pilkada tahun depan.
Soal rencana eks napi kasus korupsi yang dilarang maju di Pilkada, ia mengatakan bahwa peraturan tersebut yang sebelumnya sempat dibuat KPU sudah dibatalkan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK).
“Yang jelas Mahkamah Konstitusi sudah tolak. Orang Bodok pun tahu bapikir soal itu,” kata Imba saat wawancara dengan Tribunmanado.co.id.
Ia juga meminta agar Ketua KPU, Arief Budiman jangan seperti Tuhan. Pasalnya kata dia, narapidana kasus apapun sudah menjalani pemidanaan sebagai akibat dari perbuatan melawan hukum.
“Ketua KPU (Arief Budiman) jangan jadi seperti Tuhan. Rupanya narapidana itu dianggap tidak ada pertobatan. Dia so tahu orang pe salah deng nyanda Kita 4 kali da laundry (penjara), tamang. Laundry pertama di Rutan Polres Jakarta Utara. Kedua di Rutan Cipinang. Ketiga di Lapas Cipinang. Keempat di Lapas Sukamiskin. 4 kali laundry. Belum tentu orang yang nda masuk penjara, siapa tu lebe bersih. Hanya Tuhan yang tahu,” tegas dia.
Ia mengaku bahwa di dunia ini tak perlu ada yang perlu ditakuti, kecuali Tuhan.
“Di dunia ini md ada yang kita tako, kecuali Tuhan,” tandas dia.
