Bank Sumut berkomitmen mendukung program literasi khususnya pengembangan budaya baca di Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut). Salah satu bentuk komitmen itu adalah dengan memberikan bantuan sepeda motor pustaka kepada 16 komunitas baca di Sumut.
Hal itu diungkapkan Kepala Cabang (Kacab) Bank Sumut Sei Rampah Ahmad Pasundan Tarigan yang mewakili Pimpinan PT Bank Sumut saat menyerahkan bantuan sepeda motor pustaka kepada Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Arahon Desa Firdaus, Kecamatan Sei Rampah, Rabu (8/1/2020).
Dikatakannya, bantuan sepeda motor pustaka ini merupakan hasil kerjasama dengan Forum Masyarakat Literasi Indonesia (Formalindo) yang memanfaatkan anggaran coorporate social resposibility (CSR) PT. Bank Sumut.
Ahmad Pasundan Tarigan berharap, sepeda motor pustaka ini dapat dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya guna mendukung progran gerakan literasi di Sergai.
“Kami berharap sepeda motor pustaka ini dapat bermanfaat dalam mendukung program literasi di Sergai,” ujar Ahmad Pasundan Tarigan yang didampingi stafnya, Mujiono.
Sekretaris Formalindo Provinsi Sumut Agus Marwan, S.IP., M.SP mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Bank Sumut atas komitmennya mendukung program gerakan literasi. Dia berharap program ini dapat terus dilanjutkan.
Sementara itu Ketua Panitia program bantuan sepeda motor pustaka Formalindo Sumut Abdul Firman, S.Pd., M.Si menyampaikan bahwa paket bantuan yang diserahkan adalah 1 (satu) unit sepeda motor (on the road), box pustaka, buku bacaan sebanyak 200 eksemplar, jaket pustaka, tsirt dan topi.
Bantuan diterima oleh pengelola TBM Arahon Mediana Sianturi, S.Pd.SD beserta sejumlah pengurus dan pustakawan lembaga pustaka yang dipimpinnya.
