Sementara itu, Audy mengatakan apabila ia ditakdirkan oleh Allah untuk memimpin Sumbar. Kedepannya, Audy bersama Mentan akan meningkatkan bantuan sektor pertanian di Sumbar seperti bantuan benih dan pupuk.
“Bantuan memang saat ini ada, tapi tidak sebanyak provinsi-provinsi lainnya. Contohnya saja Sulawesi Selatan apalagi menterinya orang sana,” lanjut Audy
Tidak hanya itu, salah satu kader terbaik Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) ini dekat dengan Menteri Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional/Kepala Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (PPN/Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa. Suharso yang juga merupakan PLT Ketua Umum PPP ini menawarkan beberapa bantuan pencepatan pembangunan nasional di Sumatera Barat kepada Audy apabila terpilih.
Menjawab hal itu, salah satu yang diminta adalah Milenial Minang ini adalah pembangunan jalan perhubungan antara Kabupaten Dharmasraya dan Kabupaten Solok Selatan untuk memperlancar ekonomi masyarakat daerah tersebut.
“Jika kita (Mahyeldi-Audy) jadi , kita akan memperjuangkan empat hingga lima percepatan pembangunan nasional di Sumatera Barat kepada bapak menteri (Suharso). Diantaranya pembangunan percepatan pertanian, pendidikan, kesehatan, pariwisata dan salah satunya jalan tembus Solok Selatan-Dharmasraya,” tutur Audy saat bersilatuhrami dengan masyarakat Dharmasraya, Rabut 30 September 2020.
